today we went to the coast to run (and explore). i think i could run by the ocean forever. something about that air makes me feel like i never need to stop. we went hard our last mile and when we finished i was tired and sweaty and so, so happy.

Most times the thought of getting out to run in the cold makes me want to curl up in a ball and hibernate ‘til summer, but today I was as excited as a 5-year-old to get out and run around in the snow!

I logged 5 easy miles (my long run for the week) in Brooklyn Bridge Park, where I saw only about 4 other runners total! The first 5 minutes of the workout were super chilly and I thought about running back home and calling it quits, but once I warmed up after about 1.5 miles the rest of the workout was total bliss!

P.S. These The North Face sneakers I have have been GREAT in the snow, so I’ll be doing a new blog post about them and the rest of my favorite winter running gear this week since a lot of you have been asking! Have a happy snow day hungry friends! ❄
