Shane’s comfort is his home and his family. When he wants to open up to Ilya, he asks him about his parents and about Russia. Which only causes Ilya to shut down. Ilya has always understood his sexuality and is comfortable with that part of himself. In episode 4, Ilya kept trying to talk to Shane about sex and sexuality. the funniest part is that chan swore he warned them.
he kept saying it all week, too. “don’t be weird. she cooked. behave.” but they all acted like he was exaggerating, like this was still baby maknae chan who barely remembered to eat on tour.
it’s almost funny watching their faces when you open the door.
your house is quiet, clean, soft. candles lit. something simmering on the stove. chan leans in behind you, hand on your waist like it’s the most natural thing in the world, telling them to take off their shoes because you just mopped.
they freeze.
seungcheol actually whispers, “chan… lives like this?”
mingyu’s looking around your kitchen like he just stepped into a drama set. “bro… is that matching cookware?”
chan just shrugs, already in host mode. “yeah. she picked it. wash your hands before you sit.”
you’re plating dinner while they file in, still kind of stunned. chan meets your eyes across the counter, that small smile he only gives you, the one where his whole face relaxes. he helps you without even asking where anything goes. he already knows.
jun leans over to jeonghan and mutters, “they move like they’ve been married five years.”
you hear that. you pretend you didn’t.
chan sets the table, brushing your shoulder every time he passes. you nudge him with your hip once and he tries not to smile too big in front of them, but fails. miserably.
when everyone finally sits, the members try to act normal. they can’t. not when chan keeps checking if you’ve eaten yet, quietly taking chicken off his own plate to put on yours. not when he stands up mid-conversation to refill your glass without you asking.
seokmin is staring. “chan… when did you get like this?”
chan just blinks. “like what?”
you answer for him, laughing. “he’s always been like this.”
he looks proud of that. ridiculously proud.
after dinner, you’re doing dishes and chan is drying beside you, moving in sync without talking. the members watch from the couch like it’s a nature documentary.
wonwoo finally says what they’re all thinking. “chan looks like a husband.”
chan hears it. doesn’t deny it. he just glances at you, soft as ever, bumping your shoulder again.
“get used to it,” he says. “this is just… us.”
and the members finally get it. their maknae grew up. quietly. gently. right next to you.
and he’s not letting go.

Pairing: Kim Mingyu x 14th member reader (Platonic)
Summary: How is your relationship with the friendly and clumsy giant of the group, Mingyu.
While you might not be the best cook in the group, you are the best at preparing ingredients. You're the only member that can use a knife without the staff breaking a sweat. The editors love to put a dramatic slomo-scene of you cutting veggies with some slow ballad to showcase your talents.
This means that it's often you and Mingyu leading the chaos in the kitchen. Even if another team got the punishment of cooking dinner, you two somehow end up being responsible for the meals.
Has the habit of picking you up when you don't move as quickly as he wants you to. He'll tell you to go somewhere and if you don't jump into action the second he says it, he'll pick you up with his hands under your armpits like a cat.
Both of you are walking disasters waiting to happen, and you still have the nerve to scold each other, like you aren't just as bad. He’ll barely catch himself from tripping and before you can even start laughing at him you somehow drop your phone AND coffee.
You two are the main brand ambassadors in the group and often get brand deals together. This means you are often seen at red carpets together with coordinated outfits. You guys are still plastered around the world in your duo “Calving Klein”-shoot.
Because of the fact that you often do modelling gigs together, sometimes in quite intimate poses, you two are the most shipped duo in the group without question. The #MinYN is always trending with new moments that “prove” the theorie of you 2 being together.
This is only “worsened” by the fact that you love to hold each other. He loves how small you feel in his arms and you love how he literally wraps around you. You’re often seen leaning in to each other or holding hands.
In my head the girl and boy 97-liners are all one big friendgroup but they don't really tell the puclic that to avoid dating scandals. That being sad, he often drags you along to the '97-liner hang-outs especially when he knows the girls are gonna be there. He knows you sometimes need female companionship after being around 13 guys 24/7.
Even though he was the one who originally brought you along for the first time, he now almost regrets it since he's constantly berated for not bringing you along. Even worst is how you instantly ditch him to talk to Jihyo and Mina.
He knows that the other members would never hurt you, physically or emotionally, and he uses that to his advantage. It’s almost comical to see this 187 cm tall and broad man, cowering behind you. That being said, it does works especially when you start scolding the others for picking on him so much.
This of course doesn’t mean that you never join. He’s just lucky that he isn’t your main victim, since you are the probably on of the best at getting under people’s skin.
He often drags you along to the gym under the false pretences of you needing to stop being lazy. In reality he just likes showing off and lives for your praise. He isn’t good at hiding it though, since he doesn’t even make you workout and just forces you to look at him.

Summary: How is your relationship with the sarcastic fashionista of the group, Xu Minghao.
This man oh so badly wanted to get you into meditation so it could become a shared hobby (and because he thinks you desperately need it). But after you fell asleep multiple times, he begrudgingly settled for you reading beside him while he’s meditating.
Anytime this man shows up with painted nails, just know it is your nail polish that he used. He will complain you don’t have a certain color and then refuse to buy it himself. He could probably do a better job at it than you, but he likes chatting with you with a cup of tea during it.
He made you his designated photographer for all his Insta-pictures, claiming only you know the right angles and lighting. You take your role very seriously, going as far as directing his poses and how to position himself in the sun.
While you always join the chaos, sometimes it goes to far EVEN FOR YOU, like during the Going svt special: ECT: tease your heart out. And that's when you are seen beside The8 with such a disgusted face it could rival his. Your faces are legit copy-past, probably since you got it from him.
You are the first person who gets to see his finished art pieces, even the ones he won't post online. Sometimes you spend hours looking at all his pieces and discussing the multiple meanings they could have.
You make him laugh harder than anyone — it just takes effort. You’ve made it your mission to hear his cute giggles as much as possible. After a lot of trial and error, you have cracked the code in what makes this man laugh. Your favorite is doing funny skits of famous chinese memes or celebrities, no one will understand but it's worth it when he folds over in laughter.
He'll let you get away with more than most other members. You’ll mock him to his face — imitate his scolding voice, steal his skincare, claim you "found it" — and he’ll just raise an eyebrow like he’s annoyed. You are also the only one that gets to mock his "deep" and "inspirational" quotes.

Summary: How is your relationship with seventeens mother of the group/ the second oldest, Yoon Jeonghan.
You are literally his evil child. I swear this man acts like he's the one who birthed you. Will have the proudest look on his face when you gaslight another member or cheat on Going Seventeen.
“You’ve learned well. I’m suffering. But I’m proud.”
When something goes wrong in the group, the others immediately turn to you both like, “Okay. Who did it?”
If it was you: Jeonghan defends you like a high-priced lawyer. If it was him: you make up a more ridiculous lie to cover it. If it was both of you: Seungkwan just sighs and walks away.
Even if you use it against him, he can't even bring himself to be mad. He is self-aware enough to know it's just the consequence of his own actions (that being, teaching you all his tactics).
Jokes aside, you two care a lot about each other. You know it can be tough to be the oldest since he often has to take on the role of second leader, so you support him where you can.
When he had his cast on, you were the one that complained the most about him not being careful. You bet your ass that after every concert where he was carelessly running around, he got a scolding from you backstage. The other members joke that he has lost his spot as mom of the group to you.
While he does love spending time with you and would love nothing more than to have a common hobby, he will not be sharing his Legos. He takes Legos very seriously; if you want to hang out with him during his designated lego-hours, you will have to get your own set and pinky-promise to be quiet.
You two have a “don’t ask, don’t tell” system. If you sneak off during practice for a snack break, he pretends not to see as long as u bring him something.If he pretends to be injured to skip choreography, you pretend he’s limping. It’s unspoken, but sacred.
He says you're “too loud,” but always gravitates to wherever you are. The louder your laugh, the faster he finds an excuse to walk over. He acts allergic to your energy, but he thrives on it. You give him life.
He lets you nap with him, which is high honor. Jeonghan naps like a cat: rarely, with a very specific vibe. You’re one of the only members allowed in his “peace bubble.” You show up with a blanket and he just sighs and lifts his arm.
“Don’t kick me this time. I mean it.” (You always kick him at least once. He never makes you leave.)

Summary: How is your relationship with the leader of the group, Scoups.
Just like Jeonghan, you have the privilege of being this man's sugar baby. But unlike Jeonghan, you don't ask for things; tbh you don't even have to. When you're walking around a city while on tour, you'll just look at a certain clothing item, and he's entering the store already asking for it in your size.
Loves to see you wear the thing he bought and will legit pout when you don't wear it instantly after getting it.
If you love collecting something, like Sonny Angels or Labubus, he will go out of his way to look for them at stores. Keeps track of the series you want and often checks what figurines you're missing.
You are the one who started the whole “dad of the group” thing when you joked about it during a VLive in 2016. He still blames you for all the daddy jokes from fans (although he doesn’t really mind).
Scoups is protective of all his members; in his head, that's part of his job as the leader and the oldest. You being the only girl makes him even more protective, not because he sees you as weak or fragile, but because he cares. It shows in quiet actions, like covering your legs with his jacket when you have to sit down in a small skirt.
Like I said, this man doesn't see you as any less strong or independent. From day one, Seungcheol never babied you. The others might have hesitated—you were younger and the only girl in a group of thirteen boys—but not him. Now, he’s the first to let you take the lead when the energy in a room needs shifting.
Let's all be real; this man makes you feel so safe even just by standing by you. It's almost automatic how you move closer to him when you're anxious or scared.
Lowkey wears your hair ties on his wrist even when you're not around. He claims it's because he “might need it for your hair later,” but really, he just likes the reminder. Also, 100% keeps one of your old scrunchies in his bag and gets teased for it by Mingyu at least once a week.
Always looks out for you, not because you're clumsy but because you often aren't aware of your surroundings. You're either completely immersed in your own world or so focused on telling your story, you don't notice the big puddle in front of you.
He is your main motivation to work out. Not because you're jealous of his physique (you are but don't tell him that), but because you're sick of flying 6 meters up in the air when this man does as much as bump into you.
He often gets cuteness aggression with you and can’t controle himself to stop pinching your cheeks. Not soft little squeezes like you would expect, this man basically pulls your cheeks off and doesn’t even notice. The members always know when he had one of his moments again, cus you’re walking around with two ref cheeks.
