Hi everyone! Oh my gosh, it’s been such a long time. I hope you’re all doing well, and I miss you all more than you know. I feel like I’ve missed so much!

I’ve slowly been writing again. It’s… a process. My brain is still a bit jumbled. Concussions are no joke. I thought I knew what to expect after writing and researching them so extensively, but living through it is an entirely different experience. Words take long to come to me even when I know what I want to say. This post alone has taken me half an hour to write. 😭 I’ve slowly but surely been working on the next chapter of TFC and might approach the next few chapters as smaller mini-chapter chunks. I hope that’s okay with everyone.

I also miss reading everyone’s fics. I have so much to catch up on but I promise I’ve been rooting for you and can’t wait to read and comment!

And we missed expansion and the PWHL draft! As a Victoire fan, I sobbed over losing such core players (Ambrose, Scams, Baby Goose especially) but couldn’t believe we somehow kept the wife line in tact and snagged Maltais and Eldridge in the process. Then all the drama with Knight and Detroit?! My popcorn was absolutely ready, just to be spilled when I heard we’d be losing MPP for so much of next season. But hot damn, what a warrior she is.

Anyway, thank you so much for your patience and all of your messages! Let me know what I missed. How have you been?

Hi everyone, I don’t really know how to use Tumbler or if I’m doing this right but this is R (I guess that’s what you call me here?) and my fiancee has asked me to come on here and give everyone a quick update. She is okay!! Minor concussion after a bar league softball game and she’s doing great but limiting her screen time. She’s hoping to be back real soon in the next week or so but got some emails from here of people checking in and doesn’t want anyone to worry about her. We tried dictation but that just simply didn’t go well ha. I’m taking good care of her I promise and if somehow you could spread the word to her other readers that she’ll be back soon that would be so appreciated. The way you all care about her means the world to me.

She also jokingly says “AO3 curse must be real.”

Hi! I know it’s been over a week since the last chapter of The Firefly Choir! R surprised me with a trip to Montreal to go to the parade and celebrate the Victoire’s Cup win. I’m so behind but it was so so worth every minute. Please be patient with me as I write the next chapter. :)

Okay but like not to beat the point to death but Laura Stacey really is that girl

She’s the granddaughter of a legendary hockey player, she bounced back and made the national team after breaking both her wrists in college, she lost gold at the Olympics and started a charity about it, she married another legendary hockey player that she fell in love with when they saw a shooting star that no one else did when they were skinny dipping with their team, they won gold at the Olympics and then had the royal wedding of Canadian women’s hockey and they have the cutest dog ever, shes alternate captain on a professional team with her wife who is the captain, they play on a line together, when she was the only captain/alternate captain not injured she led her team to first place, she leads the league in shorthanded goals this season, she scored a goal one time on her wife’s birthday when the clock showed both of their numbers, she had her knee popped back in its socket on the ice (probably) with 8 seconds left in the game then went on to assist the game winning goal in overtime that same game, she won the Walter cup with holes in her socks, anyway shes so fucking cool
