Will I get cursed if I say that it’s only today..only today that I got to learn and truly know the lyrics of this song. I’m sorry! even though ive already heard it a lot of times before, i didnt know its meaning since i didnt focus on its words back then. But today, today that I did (i specifically knew the lyrics through rose’s cover on YT, tho), I got so surprised how the song felt like it was written through my heart, it felt like it was my story, it felt like i have written it. i never got to encounter a song that truly tells how i feel, until ‘the only exception’. Hehe funny how people are so ~easy~ to judge for how you live or how they think you feel - because they only know what they see. They thought it’s wanted. They aren’t aware of the trauma and the scars that might have been the reason as to why it is so hard to live a normal life, emotionally.

Puerto Galera 2019

 Uhm... I do not anymore know how to start an entry since it’s been soooo long already since I wrote something here. Pardon me. I admit, I ain’t as motivated to write here as I used to before. Safe to say, I only write here just when I feel like doing so. Haha

So last weekend, Me and my college friends went on a quick getaway to Puerto Galera, Mindoro. It was only a 2 days 1 night trip, but I swear it was sooooo fun! It really feels so good to have spent a LEGIT time with them since graduation, I mean we sometimes set up a dinner with one, two or with the whole barkada, but we wanted something that would definitely relax our souls.

I really got excited about it by the time that we started talking about it since I was really craving for beach sands and waves, and just because I knew that I really needed to go to the beach and have some time with my college friends.

We arrived at Balatero Port at past 10 am, then rode a multicab going to the White Beach. We then fixed ourselves upon arriving at the Apartelle that would be our home for the night. 

Since we arrived almost lunch time in Puerto Galera, our island hopping started at 2 in the afternoon already. The activity was fun, but I think it would be better if we have stayed more on the islands that we went to than snorkeling. Feeling ko nasayang yung time sa kaka snorkeling, hahaha more photo op pa sana. But of course, when with friends even may moments na you think na fail, you would still not consider it as one since overall i really did enjoy the activity. After island hopping we went back to our place and washed ourselves up and went back to the beach. After eating dinner, some of my friends grabbed beers, while me and other three friends just had some ice cream. 

Night life in Puerto, I do not know but it made me feel a little uneasy. I do not know why, or probably because I was just not really used to that kind of setting where there are a lot of people drinking beers, specifically when there’s a bunch of guys that was just next to our table. Or ako lang talaga yung awkward siguro. Hahahaha

Anyway, fast forward to the next day, we woke up kind of late already, well, technically, it wasn’t really that late but of course we only had like a few hours left before we leave the place, it’s just probably because we were still tired from the activity we had the other day. We actually had no intention of dipping in na since tinatamad na kami mag rinse, but then nung nag breakfast na kami the waves were so tempting. So we had no choice but to dip in. HAHA

Honestly, I am such a type of a person who’s got some trust issues when it comes to having friends, but I am sooo happy and grateful to say that my friends here are the ones that I can be my most confident self when I am with. No sugarcoating or whatsoever, and I firmly believe that it’s so hard for a person to find a circle like that, moreover for someone like me.

So this is how we met Celine Dion…

This is such an impromptu telling of this story because it wasn’t really my plan to put this entry on my blog, but Fudge it’s Celine Dion!! HAHA As far as I can remember, her songs were the first international ones that my mom had made me sing and listen to when I was little.

So here it goes, July 01 2018, we were walking at Gardens by the Bay because the light show had just ended  and we were about to head to Marina Bay Sands, when Mamalen noticed a woman wearing a pair of  very high heels as in super high and was also wearing like a strange dress (strange in a way that not a normal tourist would wear because roaming around the area really needs a lot of walking so we thought that what she was wearing was a little not appropriate), 

Mamalen then asked me (non verbatim) “Grace, mag susuot ka ng ganan ka taas na heels dito? Kaya mo?” I then responded that the woman probably did a pre-nuptial shoot kaya ganon pati ang suot nyang damit. Hahaha But I see no groom, only a couple of big guys wearing black. So nung paakyat na kami ng stairs, I kind of saw her face, yung side view, tapos sabi ko kay Mamalen na parang kamukha ni Celine Dion, na parang si Celine Dion.. 

Disclaimer: I know Celine Dion pero di ko saulo yung mukha nya, in a way na pag makita ko sya I won’t be sure if sya talaga yun… 

Tapos sabi ni Mamalen sakin bigla and I was sure na glimpse na rin nya yung mukha nya that time na sinabi ko yun so sabi nya sakin ”Tangi si Celine Dion nga!!” So yun, I started shaking..(HAHA KINDA) BESH IT’S CELINE DION. Pano ako kakalma? Hahaha We started lowkey chasing her.. and my tito even asked her bodyguards to confirm if it’s really her. Alam mo yung… it was really really super unexpected. Never ko inimagine sa sa buong buhay ko na I’d meet her. After minutes of lowkey chasing, my tito asked her bosyguards ata or Celine na if we could take a picture with her… then yun. Nag thank you kami right after ng picture and she even responded with “It’s my pleasure!” Hahahaha grabe talaga Knowing that that moment was really a one-in-a-million opportunity.  Tapos di na kami maka get over non the whole night. HAHAHA

Guess what? It’s already October 1st tomorrow! OCTOBER. Why so fast 2017?! May lakad? HAHA But kidding aside, October’s my birth month, and I just can’t believe that I’ll be turning 20 already in 9 days! Where did my teenage years go?

It’s times like this when you realise that money or being financially free provides life with a level of freedom but it isn’t something to dedicate you’re entire existence towards.

It’s times like this when you realise that what makes life worth living is love; falling in love and creating families, making memories with your loved ones, waking up to the person you love everyday, loving your occupation, loving yourself.

It’s times like this when you realise how empty life was before, when you finally connect your souls missing piece with another soul, and formulate a bond stronger than anything you’ve experienced before. A reciprocated love that solely promotions growth and positive changes.

So I apparently spent the third week of my summer vacation almost just watching a kdrama and reading a book. (Well then I also knew I could actually let myself absorb two different stories at the same time, Lol) Anyway, the kdrma that I just had finished last time was entitled “Descendants of the Sun” which I actually started seeing because there were many posts on facebook about it, and I also gotta say that the main lead’s heavenly look made me also want to watch it. YSJ!!! <3 <3

However, this post is not going to be about it, since this one I’d be writing below is about the book I recently finished reading which was “Before I Fall” by Lauren Oliver. Gotta admit that I already was craving to read a book even before summer vacation started, it’s just I had no money yet then plus I still needed to focus on my final examinations and requirements.

So below ‘ll be listing everything I learned about this book or safe to say the statements or things that I highlighted throughout reading and caught my attention.

1. “A good friend keeps your secrets for you. A best friend helps you keep your own secrets.”

2. “When you’re young you want to get older, and then later you wish you could go back to being a kid.”

3. “I used to think that’s what love was: knowing someone so well he was like a part of you.”

4. “Your parents are supposed to keep you safe.”

5. “Number one rule of best friends: there are certain things that you never ever say.”

6. “That’s the whole problem with sacrifice. It’s a pain, literally.”

7. “Gravity is not responsible for falling in love.”

8. “So many things become beautiful when you really look.”

9. “Everyone can be fixed.”

10. “I guess that’’s what saying good-bye is always like - like jumping off an edge. The worst part is making the choice to do it. Once you’re in the air, there’s nothing you can do but let go.”

And this is my favorite line of Sam, because she seemed so brave in saying such words, I’ve been like this brave once and I wanted to always be this straightforward to people…

I actually saw myself in her character while reading such lines. LOL See how much of a winner that line is. Because that’s actually one of the things I hate, people proving shts about themselves and not knowing the real reason why.

Happens when you write a lot to, for & about people without them knowing just because you simply love observing things & then you also fancy writing & expressing what's within you that you could burst any time if you don't put them into words. It's like a feeling that's trying to eat your soul & you can't do anything about it for it's inevitable. It's just frustrating how some people try to ignore their ability to create a beautiful thought; a masterpiece that could mean everything to someone.//wow these words just popped into my mind✨

What a heartbreaking day, July 07, ‘16 - 6:07pm

I shall say this day made me feel a little sad, angry and hurt. (Idk with hurt if it was really  a “little”, but whatever! Haha)

Okay We actually had no class today but I still went to school to prepare and fix some things because I am about to apply for a scholarship offered to us just yesterday and I think I should give it a go and I should not miss it bc it’s such a great opportunity to lessen the finances we are having right now....)

I had breakfast earlier at McDonald’s before I headed to school since there were no cooked foods at home, father dearest didn’t know I’d be leaving home today. So this morning i actually witnessed a couple who seemed like they’re breaking up, i’m not sure about this but I saw the girl crying in front of the guy (idk if they’re really breaking up but I was pretty sure there was something wrong at that moment)

Next is when I was riding on a trike and my co passenger who was behind me yelled at the trike driver because he used the other route, I just got bothered with how the man reacted, it made me so pissed then, but surprisingly, the trike driver was so calm when he replied. Buti nalang di nag padala si manong. I was almost about to tell him, it was just okay that it actually wasn’t his fault, but I got shy and just handed my fare to him respectfully.

And the last one, lol this is probably the last (I REALLY DO HOPE) time I’m going to talk about this, I’m gonna be a little vague this time but, I just again saw something and........ it’s probably G’s way of telling me that I should already stop imagining and assuming things that will never happen, because If I continue believing on what I am believing right now it will just lead me to getting hurt more than it did earlier (ANG DRAMA. Hahahaa). I think He really made me see it right before my two eyes to get enlightened.

But to cap off the day, even though there was a series of not so good events today, something beautiful happened this afternoon!

June 22, 2016, 7am

I’m just exactly 5 days away from first day of school. Not so finally (I’m saving it for fifth year)... but I’m already fourth year. Just one more year after this year because y’all know engineering takes five years. I just can’t believe most of my batchmates are graduating next year in March/April/May. TIME FLIES SO FAST. I can’t wait to see them get jobs, but I’m not ready yet about how I’m going to feel seeing them receiving their hard-earned money already whilst me, I’m still working my ass off studying. Yeah, some things take time. And I gotta also say I kind of do not like our schedule this semester, it’s like there are days where we actually got only one subject, then there are some where we have to be in school for more than half of the day. Our schedule has always been like that. 

But there’s also something I wanna share.. and I think I have to be proud of myself this time, not to be totally proud already since it’s not officially starting yet, but I come to face one of my fears, which is... be in an organization. Well, a massive “goodluck to me”. Lol Because I’ve never been to any position before because I’ve always been afraid of the responsibilities I’d be handling and it scares me that it may affect my studies, but this time I conquered it, I conquered my fear to be involved in any organization. I’m just hoping I’ll be able to take all the responsibilities. *crossed fingers* It may not be a big deal to some, I probably am just  exaggerating  but whatever, this is just how I feel, and it’s obviously a new thing for me.

 And as I was watching a cartoon movie earlier which was the “The Good Dinosaur”, okay, guys, don’t judge me. Cartoon movies are really pretty cool and light. They just take all the bad mood and feelings away, I mean, in my situation. Okay, I was watching it and I was also thinking about writing this post when I suddenly came across this part:

So I must say, He, above, is really watching me and guiding me throughout everything, and I’m pretty sure He’s the same with you. He’s got so much instruments that he uses to enlighten us.

Do not be sorry for not wanting a simple life.

There are basically two types of person; someone who just gets contented on what he has or what comes along, and someone who never gets contented and always wants to strive or achieve more. I believe that there’s nothing wrong with living either way, what’s wrong is not being true to ourselves and what we believe in. We always have to live the way wherein we are happy and not bringing harm to other people. Not because the people we get to be surrounded with oppose the type of lifestyle we want to live in, doesn’t mean we have to follow them and cease from achieving the things we actually and *dyingly* aim for. It’s also not our problem if we aim higher than they do; if we want to live above average. They may be our guide in everything but always remember that we are still the drivers of our lives. If we want to experience more than other people normally do, we should go for it! We should totally climb higher and run farther! No one can ever stop us if we insist, and if we have faith in ourselves. If we aim to travel the world and experience luxurious things someday, nothing is wrong with it. It’s still how we handle ourselves to still be good earthlings and how we want this planet to be a better place and how we also still lift up our faith to Him as we pray. So, don’t be sorry (to anyone) for not wanting to live a simple life, but be sorry to ourselves if we don’t get to live the way we want to. We all dream differently, it’s not exactly the same how our friends, family or other people dream, we have our own diary, we just want to fill it with more beautiful memories and more exciting and unforgettable ones.❤️ It hurts us to let it be just plain filled sheets.

Flipped (2010)

I just wanna share how I felt about this movie because I must say that this one changed my views (somehow…😅) about young love/ puppy love.❤️ I just love how simple, raw, innocent, natural and pure everything goes in this movie, how things and the story went smooth until the end. It’s totally different from the other romantic movies i have been watching these past few days (since i am just always stuck at home), how the story was just almost being narrated by the two main characters; Juli Baker & Bryce Loski, narrating which also means I was also able to know how the two main characters really feel about each other in each scene or situation. And, i loved it. And the words they spilled at the ending made my heart flutter so much, I know each person has their own favorite movie that they won’t ever get tired of watching over and over again and I guess this is mine. *winks* 

Confession: this one has already been stuck in my laptop for more or less than a year already and I hate myself for not watching it immediately. I JUST REALLY HATE IT. I actually didn’t want this movie to end while I was watching it, hoped it lasted for about three hours, would have not minded to sleep late again albeit I promised myself to sleep earlier last night. Lol

I also learned right after watching it that it’s based from a book, and I am telling you, I got really excited that I just immediately searched for an ebook copy of it and currently reading it now.

I shall say that this movie is totally a must-watch one. Well recommended!!

When you meet someone whose heart constantly breaks

Know from the start that she lives in multiple worlds.

Know from the start that she didn’t ask for anyone to be with her. But you stayed anyway. Know, with all your might and understanding, that she’s grateful for your presence, though she may not be the kind of person who tells you things.

You see, she is the kind of person who does not want attention, but craves for connection. She is always in search of that click and recognition. But she couldn’t find it. God, she longs for it.

You’re trying and she is aware that you are. But understand, please understand, that she does not mean to hurt you. You will see her laughing. You will see her doing her best in everything she does. You will see her trying to be there for people. You will see her doing so many things for others, but she just couldn’t do it to herself.

Dear, you will be bewildered, shocked, or surprised when you finally get to see her soul. She is patiently waiting to connect with someone, without her explaining herself. You may think that she is asking for too much, but don’t you realize that she’s worth “much” as well?

Know that her heart breaks when she listens to unfamiliar yet beautifully made songs. Know that her heart breaks in museums. Understand that she can spend ten minutes just staring at the beauty of an artwork, while you are standing there, staring at her. Know that she hoards for words written by philosophers in the 1920′s. Know that when she cries, it’s not because of something you think you see. It is because her soul is speaking to her and sometimes, she couldn’t comprehend it.

You want to get to know her, but you’re not even close. It’s not your fault, but it isn’t hers either.

When you meet someone whose heart constantly breaks, you will realize how difficult it is to even ask what she wants. When you meet someone whose heart constantly breaks, you are not with someone who is merely and physically present, but you are with someone who sees poems in everything.

When you meet someone whose heart constantly breaks, and you want to be part of the galaxies that fill up her mind, know that it will be a long, long journey. If you get tired trying to understand her, it’s okay. But do her a favor.

Don’t stay if you can’t handle the revolution going on inside her. Yes, she wants someone to recognize her soul but she is not asking for anyone to fix her. Don’t ever feel that you have the capacity to do that. Believe me, she won’t like it. Her heart constantly breaks but her soul is a masterpiece.

You will drown if you do not know how to swim against her currents. I am so sure that you will. Many people tried, but did not succeed.

They see her as someone who is deep, they cannot even go near the shore.

Understand that it is normal for her to be by herself most of the time. Do not ask her if she’s okay because she seems lonely. No, she is not. It’s just her thing.

She is not someone who would call for help even though sometimes, she needs it. Know that she is simple, complicated, and all at once.

She thanks you for trying. But she will understand if you leave.She always will.

Because when you meet someone whose heart constantly breaks, you will realize that persistence will never be enough to keep her. She does not know what will. If you want to try but you feel even a little ounce of fear, just don’t do it.
