Apple Bacon Risotto from Shokugeki no Souma

Decided to make this since I had extra arborio rice from the last risotto I made (the one stuffed into the chicken here)

I made a few revisions to Souma’s recipe, namely, the addition of thyme and bacon to the risotto to prevent it from being overly sweet. I also suer-ed the onions in butter, and used chicken stock and chardonnay as well as apple juice to boil it down (quite a basic thing for any risotto). The apples were of the Fuji variety.

It was delicious, and quite filling - I don’t know how Fumio-san and the rest can say it wasn’t.
