I just watched Steam Powered Giraffe’s Denver concert that they temporarily are having up on their YouTube channel and just… The robots are all precious babs and I love them! And I just wanted to say 2 things!

1) How Zero sings his bits in Honeybee is absolutely heartbreaking! He brings such a tragic delicacy to his bits that it breaks my heart every time! I love the boy!

2) How Zero and The Spine were singing Shattered Stars to one another was just so adorable! I love their friendship so much! It’s adorable! (And you know. Given how literally seconds before they started the song, they said that Zero had come out of the closet, so you know… I could absolutely ship the two of them together. Don’t know if I should tho.)

Also I just thought that it was funny how the altitude and lack of oxygen was seriously getting to them! >u< They fucked up SO MANY of their improv/comedy bits. It was hilarious! The only thing that made me sad about watching this concert is that I don’t think that Zero’s outfit was complete yet, and so no steam was coming off of him like it does for Rabbit and The Spine. It’s a small thing, but still a shame. I would hope that his outfit is more complete at this point. O3O

An incomplete list of headcanons that are very important

Rex Marksley is Aroallo; Captain Albert Alexander is Aroace.

Jon is selectively mute and probably won't talk the majority of the time.

Upgrade is a lesbian and all the bots made up her having a crush on The Spine as a joke.

Zer0 is trans, he was originally built to be a girl but when Peter VI found him he asked to be changed to look like a boy like he wanted.

The Spine is only that grumpy on stage and he's secretly just the overprotective mom friend and he loves and protects all his friends as often as possible.

When V was bringing home girls for the first times he didn't have parents to embarrass him so Rabbit and Jon teamed up to act like his parents, Annie was the only one who thought it was adorable and they now remember the bots routine fondly, V hated it at the time but he now appreciates that the bots became honorary parents to him sometimes.

Hatchworth keeps adopting small animals and the relationship the Walters got with the local animal shelters and zoos are what got them the Zoo gigs (no this doesn't work timeline-wise but idc)

VI had a normal highschool and he tried oh so hard to not let anyone figure out he was the heir to a robotics company who was raised by sentient robots, he succeeded for the most part, somehow no one connected the dots between Walters and Walter Robotics

Upgrade is made of iron and is the strongest of all the bots, she painted herself pink

Delilah Morreo uses a walking stick, she's trans, and she's from New Jersey and if she knew Rabbit she'd probably be in love with her

Rabbit has the robot equivalent to ADHD and it means she struggles a lot with reading

In that same vein Jon is autistic

Hey everyone! This will be my last piece of Steam Powered Giraffe fanart for a good while. I would really, and I mean REALLY appreciate it if you could continue to support me via liking and reblogging my posts.

Okay, so no one probably cares about this, but I just felt like sharing my personal idea for the SPG Eat Your Heart music video. This is in no way what the band is doing, it’s just me coming up with concepts for something I’m not involved in.

Setting/s: I want the main set to be an ice cream parlor or sock hop-esque place in a pastel color palette similar to the one on Bunny’s original art. I’m also a sucker for the pink background used in Latum Alterum, so potentially cuts to bits with that.

Outfit/s: For Rabbit, id love to see a physical version of the cover art’s dress (or something like it). For Spine and Zero, I think it’d be kinda fun to put them in like....barbershop quartet vests, with the straw hats and everything, just to really give it that vintage feel.

Extra characters: So I’m a sucker for the eyeless demons from Latum Alterum, and I love the aesthetic of creepy cute stuff. My thought is pastel zombies, 50’s dresses and such but like.....pastel gorey. It’d also be fun to include everyone’s favorite spg character, the heart from the cover art. It’s beautiful.

“Storyline”: It starts out pretty. Classic 1950’s doo-wop kinda video, everyone’s pristine and cute, the zombies aren’t zombies yet and still look human-esque. As the song progresses and we get further into the video, everything slowly gets darker and darker. Blood spatters, cracks on the bots, the zombies become zombies, the ice cream/milkshakes are revealed to be blood or something, etc. The very last shot we see is Rabbit eating the heart from the cover art.
