Something so fucked up and interesting how Captain uses 'Childlike' things to decorate themself with. It is Not to seem like less of a threat. For them its more like. Imagine wearing the accesories of someone you just killed. It is a way of like. Mocking? Showing the spoils of kill? Almost? But maybe there Are some smaller things about them wanting to Lure aswell, since they Are in fact a predator
They dont want to appear innocent. Far from it. Theyre more than happy to boast their bloodshed with a smile. They conquer and kill and pillage. Its exciting. And the way others look at them. They love it. And its even more fun to wear these things associated with innocence, to Lure an audience of impressionable beings, to Show Them why you should be feared and Taint memories make everything gross and bad and bad and bad and just. Aaaagh.
I dont know how to explain my thoughts but it was my favorite detail when designing them. Theyre so terrible.
Newbie views it of course as Repulsive and Disgusting but more interestingly. Sees it as a sort of. You Earned that role. It couldn't have gone any other way. bad things need to happen. Necessary evils sort of deal? For the furthering of their colony. They would rather watch than participate, but if they must, they will. Would rather push pain onto others in a cowardly way. May have been a bit more outspoken at first, but quickly ceased that.
It doesnt help that the rest of the crew . Just adapted to it? Except Doctor and the slight missteps(?) From others. Doctor can end the entire crew's life if they so pleased, but they Wont because they dont care enough. They only care if things start to get close to them. Theyll isolate themself. They only cared about newbie when they were splayed on the floor of their medbay. And yeah, theyre more outspoken, than others, sure, but like. Barely? Only to dig at Captain!! So they feel good about their inaction.
Everyone on this crew is Morally Inept and Sucks. I love ittttt.
Doctor can talk as much as theyd like but theyre still doing nothing. Maybe I could play with the Fear and how theyre terified of Defying Captain in an Outright way because Captain. Has such a hold on the crew. And such a high ranking. Even though itd damage their entire crew, they know captain would do it. Would hurt them, kill them, do Awful things. Captain doesn't Fully care about the crew. Even if taking out their doctor doomed everyone else they'd do it for their own pleasure. Incredibly selfish and cruel.. I like them.. its so much easier for doctor to just shout at or make snide comments toward captain because those are things captain wont / cant take action against (not big enough to matter) ahwhahaa!!!they make me crazy.. I know im just repeating the same thing over and over but I like to think about them and I want to one day be able to word things right and learn
