To celebrate Orktober, I'm happy to reveal Da Laughing Orc Dice. A collaboration between me and Ikarus Project LLC

After trouble between me an another dice company earlier this year, I was contacted by Stephen, the owner of Ikarus and thus this project came into reality. This is an original design of mine and I was given the right to speak my mind through every step of the designing process. All I wanted for compensation was few of them for my weekly tabletop friend group, but Stephen was adamant and insisted to pay me as well. Each of my friends got a full set + more! We're all really thankful.

Happy Orktober! After an unfinished larger project that turned very sour, I'm back at it again. I took a very long hiatus to do anything creative, but at the end of summer I put the large project aside and started doing smaller projects, instead of sulking and not getting anything done. I gave new life to older minis I had in my collections since I was in my early teens. The squigs have been with me since I was around 13. The Gorkamorka era greenskins have been a special interest to me as of late and I've been scouring ebay for good finds. There will definately be more of those painted in the future.

Boomstikka boy. For those situations when something big needs ‘sploding. Converted from the new monopose boys kit. The hook hand and exploding tip were cut from plasticard parts and bits from the bits box.

Third ork boy finished. Bits sculpted by Hardcore Miniatures with very minimal modification from me.

Finally got the time to work on my orks. Second painted boy joins my humble ork warband. The custom made muzzle flash is the end of a toothpick and a bit of milliput.

It was finally time to pull the trigger and paint me an ork boy. The sculpt comes from Hardcore Miniatures line of Fury Road inspired orks. The tracking squigs are from Warhammer Underworld Zarbag's Gitz.

This is my tribute to Scrapbeak. A boss monster from Hunt: Showdown. My goal was to make something that looks like a person living in the world of Hunt would create as an effigy or part of an altar dedicated to praying to Scrapbeak.

The base form was cut from recycled piece of wood, the hood is made from a t-shirt which I hardened in place with glue and nails. There’s metal grating, pieces of leather, string, feathers, twigs, decorative chicken bones and even a fork. All painted together with spray paints, acrylics and oils.

Crooked man, with a hook and a plan. Smog and smoke, if you meet him - abandon all hope!

I needed a hooded stranger for my Iron Kingdoms tabletop rpg campaign, so I created this mini entirely out of bits from my bits box. It features parts from at least 3 different manufacturers (GW, Mantic, Mongoose) and some greenstuff to fit it all together.

I was given the opportunity to work a defective cutting board into anything I wanted. So I made some orky art I could mount on my gaming room wall. Originally a piece of a school desk, then turned into a cutting board and now turned into art. The design was cut into two halves, which I glued back together to reposition the lower jaw slightly further out for a more “3D” look. Painting was done with the same acrylics I paint my miniatures with.

The Deff Traktor. Perfect tool for those hard to reach scrap hauls and the skulls that need bashing in. After almost two months of working on this piece I’m ready to call it done. This was my first attempt at non metallic metal painting and I’d say I’ve been moderately succesful, but still need to learn a lot. This was also my first finished Ork model. More greenskins are to come, so stay tuned!

Here’s the last batch of WIP photos I’m gonna take of this model. I still need to finish the back/exhaust system, all the hanging wires, the base and final pass details and a lot of weathering. Next time (hopefully) I’ll be returning with a finished Deff Tractor.

Hooked on a feeling. Here’s some more wip photos. Particularly happy with the towing hook. Not long ago it was just a mess of plasticard, jewelry chain, bits and green stuff. Need work on the legs, exhausts and the whole back of the model before I can even get started with the base. Little by little.

Making good progress. Decided I wanted more yellow on the body. Also added a glowing eye, which instantly breathed more life to the model. Legs, searchlights, the whole backside and right shoulder & arm are still completely untouched. Overall I'm happy how this is turning out so far.

Digga claw part 2: Shiny and chrome! Think there's still some little tweaking to do, but the digga arm is done now.

I'm pretty happy with the results I'm getting on the metals. This is my first NMM (non-metallic metal) paint job I've ever done.
