Finished green lantern sleepers book 2 and 3! Of the 3 books 2 was probably my least favorite, the first half was good but the second half was just ok. But book 3 was definitely my favorite!
I think I’d make Holmes and Irene Adler siblings just to spite the executives who would inevitably want them to get together.
In terms of actual story I’d love to do something supernatural. Monsters, superpowers and ghosts? Yep all real here (zombies arnt tho, just for the bit. Also I don’t like them). Each episode would be a case of the week, with Holmes and Watson taking on the various supernatural horrors they encounter. Lots of spooky vibes, we got fog, mysterious lighting, dark tunnels, haunted houses, all the fun tropes. Throw in some psychological and body horror as well. You could definitely do an over arching plot with the premise but it’s not really necessary.
I think it could be fun if the Holmes family had some supernatural affinity that none of them want or are not that helpful. Mycroft can hear the dead and seal away demons. He’s the governments go to for dealing with supernatural issues and he would literally rather do anything else. He sees his abilities as a curse rather then a gift. Not because they’re harmful or anything, they’re actually quite useful to his work. But ghosts are annoying and mostly chatter about things that are completely useless. Thanks for the green bean casserole recipe Carol, but let me finish this paperwork in peace. The Diogenes club has an excessive amount of warding charms in it.
Irene Adler can see the future but 99% of the time it’s just for minor inconveniences. She’ll stop by every now and then to be like “Sherlock, don’t eat the pasta from the restaurant across the police station next week, you’ll get indigestion.” Sometimes she gets something useful and will be like “hey tomorrow you’re gonna get a case, don’t take it you’ll get shot.” And Holmes will be like “hm duly noted.” And take it anyway.
Holmes himself can sense when something supernatural is nearby, but it’s honestly more annoying than helpful because it just gives him a headache after a while.
In terms of the main cast we obviously have Holmes and Watson. In this version Watson needs a cane and suffers from ptsd after his military service. He also gets to be bi on screen.
Holmes has bipolar as well as autism. He’s also ace and him and Watson are in a qpr. This version still takes place in the original time period so they can’t really explicitly state it because they didn’t have the words yet but yeah.
Mycroft and Adler are mostly side characters who pop in from time to time.
I’d also include Mary Morstan somewhere as a main character. I think she’s neat and I want more adaptations to use her ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Also she wears purple because I forever associate her with the color due to the Granada version.
I’d make it animated because we need more animated Holmes adaptations and it would let us go nuts with what we could do in terms of supernatural designs.
Hello, hello, everyone, and welcome to the Magic Kaito Animation Project! This is going to be a fan-run project, attempting to animate the legendary lost chapter of MK 1412 - 'A Clockwork Heart'. It's an extremely ambitious project that aims to direct and produce a fully animated episode with voice acting and sound effects. The timeline for this project is very tenuous at the moment, since it's liable not to be finished at all! :3
Here is the interest form. Look below for requirements on what every role will be doing.
Now, requirements. Keep in mind this may lessen depending on how much of every role shows up.
Scriptwriters
Scriptwriters must provide at least a page of script individually. This does not mean you will have to write a full page on your own - far from it. It is highly recommended that you work together! This just means that of everything you contribute, it must come out to about a page.
Storyboarders
Work together with the scriptwriters to come up with exciting scenes! Try to contribute about half a scene on your own. (A lot of these will be less strict.)
Foley Artists
These will mostly be sound artists. They make the various sounds. Contribute at least one sound. There may not be enough for everyone. Also keep in mind the relative volume and material - not everything sounds exactly like it looks.
Voice Actors
There will be a limited number of these. If sign up ever happens, everyone auditioning must send in a recording of their auditions. Please keep in mind they are very sought after positions, and we may have only one understudy for each, if needed.
Background Artist
As the name says, these artists will create backgrounds and occasionally foregrounds. Please contribute at least one.
Animators
Ah, the essential animators! Since this is a 25-30 minute project (hopefully) if around 25-30 animators minimum applies we can get this off the ground. If even more apply, then this could change. At absolute minimum, one minute is required from each animator.
Concept Artist
Will work with the scriptwriters and storyboarders. Please contribute one concept.
Music Artist / Editor
To assist with music for the project! Background music is essential. Please help to develop at least one track. We will be using some from the anime proper, but there will be some new music needed.
Video Editor
To put everything together! Please help to contribute at least one minute of footage.
And that should be all! If you don't want to assist with the project but would still like to see it, I request you at least fill out the interest check. Also do keep in mind that it's dubious whether this project will be completed at all. Once enough people have shown interest in this, a rough timeline will be drawn up and presented. And if anyone has prior experience to working on a animation team or short, please reach out! We need all the help we can get!
