If you're a fan of the hit early-'90s TV show Quantum Leap, or not a fan of Donald Trump, Stephen Colbert has a treat for you. On Wednesday's Late Show, Colbert said he was watching a rerun of the show when Scott Bakula's time-leaping character, Dr. Sam Beckett, accidentally turned a young Donald Trump on to Manhattan real estate, the source of Trump's fortune. "Donald Trump's rise is the fault of Scott Bakula!" Colbert said. "He should have never revealed the secret that New York real estate is valuable. Well, we might be able to reverse this tragedy, because I've got my own Quantum Leap-y thing right here, so I can leap back and stop it from happening." In Colbert's fantasy re-enactment, he plays Dean Stockwell's character, Al, and Bakula plays... well, Bakula. And as on the TV show, things don't go as planned, and nail-biting hilarity ensues. But hey, at least won't don't have "Mega-Pope Trump" anymore, right? Watch below. Peter Weber
