Sometimes I find it hard to do/create things because my depression and anxiety tell me that I’m not good enough, smart enough, or knowledgeable enough to share the things I like. Might be an unpopular opinion but it seems to me that for women it’s learning what to avoid or how to protect themselves by recognizing a threat. For men it’s hero worship and guns and idolizing violence.

Like, when the concept of a new black character is brought up people suddenly have a lot of alternatives. Like Maria is great, she deserves to be Captain Marvel, Shuri is great but she has her own trajectory and a different story than Iron Heart.

So let me tell you what pisses me off.  I’m on medicaid for healthcare.  Usually it’s pretty good.  However, it varies state by state when it comes to vision coverage.  So apparently because of the state I live in, they don’t cover eye exams for routine vision checks.  Only catastrophic or serious health related things.  They also do not cover contacts or glasses.  This is BULLSHIT.  How the fuck am I supposed to function if I can’t see?!  I’ve noticed my vision is getting a little worse, but god forbid I should be able to make an appointment and not have to pay full price (which I can’t afford) in order to be able to see well again.  I can’t do my job if I can’t see.  FUCK.  So now I’m going to have to save money specifically so I can make an eye appointment, if I can save any money.  Living paycheck to paycheck is bullshit, I can’t really afford to set money aside so that I can FUCKING SEE THINGS.

If universal health care ever becomes a thing (not really holding out hope at this point) they better damn well include vision coverage.
