Day 19: Betrayal
"oh mark, you'll love it here! i promise! here, for your friends. a gift. to convince them my giant friends want to meet them too. they'll love it too! please come back real soon.
please come back soon.
please...please come back..."
the marna whelan that mark once knew is so far gone he can't see her anymore. is there hope she'll return to her senses? he doesn't know. and unfortunately, he can't stay to find out. not when she doesn't understand what's happened to her. doesn't want to remember. doesn't want to leave the "safety" of her "home". he can't make that choice for her, and he can't afford to get trapped waiting for her to figure it out
i have no intentions of making marna a part of the spindrift crew (and not just because that'd make 3 characters whose names start with "mar" in one group) but her presence would linger, especially if/when the crew meets other stranded humans and have to warn them about her. just in case her giant handlers try to lure in more people to marna's home/garden. which is another factor into her "uselessness" when other humans cotton on to what's happening the second she mentions her name (if they weren't already suspicious of a beautiful woman in a jar in the middle of the forest under a lantern ala s1 ep 12 "the golden cage")
that said she will probably end up with a character design sheet, if only to see the differences between "golden cage" marna and "exodus" marna and "post series movie" marna
(yes there is hope for marna, of course there is, it just takes a lot to get there)
((yes of fucking course i have a post series movie in mind for all this, i told you i have a We Got Cancelled/Series Finale episode in the fucking can already just in case, why wouldn't i want to do a One Year Or Maybe Years Later movie as well?))

for those unaware, i am Full On Some Land of the Giants Bullshit and this year's Gt July theme will be related to the LotG Series Bible project i have been picking away at for a proposed remake/reboot of the show
