He paused at the question—a voice he was not accustomed to rang out behind him. It wasn’t the normal viking coming to request a personalized saddle or some diverse contraption. This was a traveler, a stranger to his homeland. Regardless if dangerous or not the presence perked his curiosity. He wanted to see his father? Why? What business could this person have with the chief?

He put down the tools he was using before coming closer to the service window. A confused yet interested brow arched at his person.

”And I ask just what do you need to see the chief for?”

It was an obvious that Sheik was a visitor. Whether it was his attire or his body-size and shape, he did not fit within the thrall of others. His voice a soft tone, difficult to deter between masculine or feminine as he'd querried only to be turned about. Pointed ears hidden behind the bandages wrapped around his head twitching to his octave.

"I am a traveler from a kingdom a bit far south," he responded simply, not minding the answer as it was going to be known later either way.

"As I am also a confidant and guardsman to the Princess of said kingdom, I was called to deliver a letter to your chief." The letter held mentions of dragons that had been said to come from this area, the strange beasts coming in much larger and differing sizes than Sheik had expected, though that had yet to halt his mission, being given direct orders he would follow them.

The tone did not dip nor show any intrigue or disinterest, the volume remaining level and could be considered 'apathetic' to most. Easily creating a form of calmness that most would not be able to see. "Is that satisfactory or shall I explain the contents as well?"

This was not meant to be rude, which it could have been taken as. More-so a saying he had not divulged all information he could have. With how he spoke as well, it was a choice, not a bragging right or agrivated tick, instead offering the other an option to learning more as he could give.

After all, his instructions were not told to remain private. If any peace negotiations were going to take place, it would be made public anyway, and if they were declined, he certainly hoped he would be allowed out without any need for him to attempt gliding past these other ... dragons. The one's currently located in Hyrule difficult enough to avoid and-or kill, no way as friendly as the one's with their occupants here.

Being bestowed the excitement of his father— a certain title he rather forget about kept hovering like a determined Gronckle. Invoking the idea upon the other villagers of his home made it a little irritable to walk through town without being constantly reminded of the shoes he was suppose to fill. A sigh left his lips as the familiar chime of bending metal and gears met his ears.

The armory turned into an innovation station set in motion by his own ideas and suggestions. Attempting to make the life of his fellow viking a little easier. Coarse hands grabbed a worn apron reluctantly while returning to the mending of wooden levers and a wall of tools for him to use.

Requests were his job.

‘Providing for the people’ as usual.

Sheik's steps were smooth and graceful as he walked among the people among him. The names he heard whispered, uttered, laughed, all with increasing oddity and strange sounds. Though he did nothing to invoke attention to himself, thin, gangly body slipping free of the thrall without any notice or calls to himself.

A thing one did not expect was appearing in front of a place with a burning furnace, a man with his back turned for the moment, an apron sliding on itself as if it were his job. And a clinking-- one he could tell distinctly as metal crunching under bend of a spring making his back almost straighten harshly before eyes went to glance at one's foot ...

"Ah..."

It was a breath, as-if in relief though no release was given to his stance. Vikings, nomatter how peaceful they may seem ... with creatures that could eat one whole, they weren't on the best terms and he had been sent with a letter of 'peace negotiations' with his empire.

He also knew within the letter called for him to stay among them for a few days to do any jobs they might require and would be in his abilities. "Excuse me," he allowed his voice to touch the air, now going to interrupt the youth, "I'm looking for the leader of this village, might I ask if you could give me directions?"

His eyes narrow towards the other male. ”The names Nick- now answer my question.” This guy looks like he came straight out of some fucked up carnival and Nick has already hate his tastes for amusement parks and clowns. He isn’t really surprised either if the zombie apocalypse led people to being fucking crazy either. Nick would make an exception of wasting a bullet if this guy tried something funny; unless he proved himself useful. The conman could use a helpful hand at the moment considering his close encounters with infected.

Nick. Weird name to boot. But there was no flicker in the eyes, his stance was as rigid as ever; Sheik couldn't tell whether he was lying or not, so simply chose to be he was.

"It's traditional and allows me more flexible movements."

Well, Sheik wasn't lying this time around. No reason to, not when he could take out the man in the white-coat so easily. He looked somewhat alike the Happy Mask Salesman without his bag, and if he was anything like that man, then Sheik didn't want any piece of that. His grip tightening on the long knife he wore on his back at a time like this and thought how to paralyze the man if he attacked.

"As for 'get up', I wouldn't be one to judge. You're wearing a strange white coat and holding a metal object as-if it'll do anything more than blunt trauma." To be even more obvious that Sheik didn't realize what Nick was pointing at him. His free fingers curled around needles, tightly clutched in the palm of his hand, readying for either an attack or something similar.

"Now are you going to lower that or are you going to try to attack me?"

Only one who watched would realize red eyes following in the night. Quiet as a shadow, disappearing from view as one turned to look at them. It is only when one is comfortable does a soft tune escape the shadows, as if they themselves have decided upon such an eerie sound.

"I do hope I am not intruding."

Glistening red, one brighter than the other revealing weakness to those who are not so daft. An eye blind to all the world other than the darkness it is so familiar with.

Sheik's body language spoke ease. His persona, cowl covering his face, small, dirtied white cloak and knives, short, but long enough to keep on safe in a fight spoke quite differently however. Yet he did not raise a single item in his arsenal as the small vessel (a simple fishing boat) with it's sides wide looking quite alike any longships that rested on dock.

Jumping from the edge of the netting, a soft thud escaped his footing yet otherwise he appeared light, walking onto the island in a much curioser state for as some woud say:

Here there be dragons.

The man’s movement nearly scares her. It is strange, to be shown respect. After all, her only real contacts were the teachers at the college, the Jarls when they asked for her to lend her strength, neither of which owed her any respect. The one who had, ultimately, caused the destruction of Helgen. Alduin had been hunting her, or more precisely, had been hunting the Dragonborn. "I’m glad to be here too."

Yet each movement is held in elegance, lifting himself to a height most would find ridiculous as the gesture he presented had been practiced year upon year as the bending of his knee like the grass when faced with the wind. He had been used to finding himself in such situations where bowing was considered formal, considered proper. And he followed the propper to the core.

"Though I am glad that you think so as well." His expression had softened slightly. Eyes and shoulders relaxed. A person was not what other's put upon them, but rather what they made out of it, and from what he could tell; she was doing quite well for herself. The shifting of his body was done like a snake, smooth serpentine movements to entrance, distract as a finger was put to his cowl as-if in consideration--

Heading to the next safe house, Nick is on his highest guard. Gun at the ready around every twist and turn but he’s trying to not waste bullets on lingering infected. Stepping out into the open, he quickly retreats at the sight of a strange body.

What? But Nick is caught so he’s pointing his gun towards the blonde who didn’t seem to lunge at him with a blood thirsty look but instead held weapons against him too. The cons eyes narrow, ”What’s with the get up?”

No answer, mainly because of the current circumstance. The other looked about as strange as anything else here. His face hidden behind a cloth mask, red eye not moving away from the man's face.

Blood splattered clothing, voice slightly graveled, a strange metalic object pointed at him that seemed to be considered a weapon by the man who held it against him. "Name first, then I'll answer your question." Maybe. Sheik kept that to himself, mainly due to the population. Most of which reminded him of the stalfos and stalchild except with rotting flesh hanging from their corpses instead of just bone.

Well, at least Sheik could defend himself. The awkward walking around in this ... world was horrible. His lips twisted downward in a frown as he tugged up the cowl just a bit further.

"Is there nothing alive?"

His head twisted then, seeing a flash of white, a curling of knives flicking in his hands as he twisted, pointing them towards a person in ... a suit. They appeared at least functioning. "Who are you."
