A while back, I let a friend barrow my CD of a Picture Perfect Hollywood Heartbreak, and lo and behold, they got super into it. I told them “This whole thing is perfect for imagining angst and vent day-dream scenarios, like… these are songs with dark themes, but you’ll feel a good kind of rush listening to them”, and they didn’t take me seriously, and then had guess what happened? They listened to that CD for a solid month, and on/off for the next couple of months. I finally told them to keep it and got a new copy of the CD for myself haha. I made this for them, but also thought I’d share it on here.

What was Zach Callison’s A Picture Perfect Hollywood Heartbreak really about?

Hey all you people out there! How are you surviving quarantine? I had a bunch of spare time, and so I decided to write an essay that focuses on Zach Callison’s album, A Picture Perfect Hollywood Heartbreak. The album has been out for a while, but most people either only know Interlude IV or are really confused about the story it tells. I think I’ve finally got an answer, and I wanted to share it with you all.

If you’re only here to better understand Interlude IV, you can skip down there if you want, but you’ll still be pretty confused. Besides, you should listen to the rest of the album. The whole thing bops. 

Personal favorite song is Phantom Love, but I’m pretty sure no one cares about that.

When I first came upon this show when it first came out, I didn’t know what to expect but I knew that I would enjoy it. And I did. It was truly a unforgettable and amazing adventure these wonderful characters had and myself. And despite it being just a show, I truly believe it made a difference, it made a change in not only my life but in many many others.

I am going to miss this show and the unbelievable journey it included. Thank you to all the people involved in making this a reality. Thank you to the all voice actors for giving the show and characters life. And thank you Rebecca Sugar. You have made a incredible and beautiful masterpiece that I will never forget. Whatever plans you have in the future, I’m here for it. Thank you for making Steven Universe a reality!
