York and Wyoming always were rivals and never really got along, since they both had a crush on Carolina.

If Carolina hadn't asked for two AIs then Washington and South would've gotten Eta and Iota. Wash wouldn't have been mentally damaged by Epsilon and South wouldn't have needed to shoot him in the back.

They turned Washington into comic relief in the most recent season of Red vs Blue to show that he began to trust people again, like he did when he was with the other agents in Project Freelancer, before South shot him in the back and after he met the reds and blues. Meeting the reds and blues showed him that even though they weren't as experienced as soldiers, or even the best, sometimes there is friendship among war.

Washington's last name is actually Washington.

Sister is very, very young in comparison to the other members of the Blood Gulch Crew. She had to steal a suit of armour and a ship in order to get to Grif because her being underage barred her from officially joining the military. If the minimum age is 17 or 18, this means that Sister is 15 or 16 at most, which explains why she is so incompetent and why Grif wanted to get her back home so desperately.

Agent Carolina's full name is Carolina Church. The Director always had a fondness for naming things after US states.

The reds and blues are also AI fragments of the alpha. they were just in Blood Gulch one day just like church and believe they are humans.  They are in fact the best (most human) fragments and this is why they got special protection in Blood Gulch along with the alpha.
