Gotham City, renowned for its perilous streets and rampant crime, is equally famous for its vigilantes, among whom Red Hood stands out. Red Hood's journey is a storied one, beginning as a young Robin, facing death at the hands of a criminal, and returning with a level of violence that even Nightwing finds alarming. Criminals often flee at the sight of him, and it's no wonder—Red Hood stands at 6'2", with a powerful and imposing physique. However, not all criminals are deterred by his size or menacing presence, such as the “fearless” Copycat.
Copycat isn’t Gotham’s worst criminal. She isn’t particularly violent or dangerous; she simply enjoys pretty things and cats, much like her mentor, Catwoman. She lives by the mantra, “All of them have way too much stuff, so they won’t notice if I take something,” which Red Hood might not mind much. What drives him crazy is her personality. She enjoys annoying him a little too much, a habit that started back when he was still a Robin.
The first time he met the girl was when Batman took him to gather some fresh information about Penguin from none other than Catwoman. While the adults talked, Batman asked him to stand guard, and he did. To this day, he still doesn't know how she managed to sneak up behind him. A loud "boo" echoed in his ears, followed by her laughter.
“You must be Robin,” she said, eyeing him up and down with an annoying grin on her face. “I’m Copycat.” She extended her hand, to which he simply responded:
“Fuck off.”
His scowl, puffy cheeks, and messy hair immediately caught her attention. She became obsessed with his annoyed demeanor and dirty mouth. Even at thirteen, Copycat loved a challenge, and she made it her mission to bother him as much as she could after that.
By definition, Red Hood wouldn’t consider Copycat an enemy; she was more like a rock in his shoe. Something distracting and annoying, but not a reason to lose his head over. And she was really distracting.
Sitting on his lap with a bunch of money stolen from the mayor as they made out was definitely distracting.
“You know, I may not care that you got the mayor’s money, but Robin will. That brat is insane,” he said, enjoying the kisses she planted on his neck. She backed up a little, a wide smile on her face.
“I’m very good at dealing with Batman’s sidekicks. Don’t you remember how well I dealt with you?” she said, bopping his nose, which made him roll his eyes as he went for another kiss.
“You were the worst when we were kids. All full of yourself because you were a little taller than me and because you were pretty.”
“Aww, you thought I was pretty back then? Cute,” she said, kissing him again. “As much as I’m really enjoying this moment, I have to go home.” She kissed him once more, drawing patterns on his chest. “See, my boyfriend is going to spend the night at my apartment, and I have to put some lasagna in the oven for him. So I better not run into Robin on the way.”
“Yeah, better run from the devil spawn. Your boyfriend said he’d bring that wine you wanted to try out,” he replied, his thumbs rubbing her waist.
“Oh, he is the best, isn’t he?” she said, giving him a peck on the cheek. Copycat smiled once again, even bigger than before. “See you at home, Jason.”
“Wait for me there, pretty.”
Copycat might be the most annoying criminal on the streets, but at home, she was just his lovely girlfriend, Y/N.
