cassie mckay is so important to me (even if i’m not falling for the straight mckay propaganda, that woman is a LESBIAN!).

they wanted to give her this “i wanna get laid” arc in s2, but what does really happen to her on the 4th?

after a day of caring for other people, looking out for them. mentoring and defending javadi, teaching ogilvie with so much heart and humanity, telling langdon she gets what he’s going through.

being with roxie for hours — the last ones of her life — and helping her deal with the massive gap her loss will create, the impact it’ll have on her family, on her children. these two children, one slightly younger then harrison (what he was not long ago, maybe a version of him she hasn’t been able to see) and one slightly older (what he’ll become in a short amount of time, a much more difficult version she’ll have to confront alone). and coming from these devastating hours she faces a medication in the park and an ice deportation. all women.

and thinking about this woman, who’s so alone with her child, but who’s always taking care of other women and helping them out and being and advocate for them (as we saw in s1)… well, her season cannot end up with a date (even if she wants to), cannot end up with a bath, a book and a bed (even if she’s like to).

it can only end in silence, on a rooftop, full of other women, all hugging and taking care of each other.

because that’s what cassie mckay is.

i do not understand how you can say that the ending somehow erases or destroys their relationship, that six thousand years "don't matter" anymore as if death erases love. as if death erases meaning. as if their love isn't literally the reason for creation.

as if the entire movie was not created out of love for terry pratchett and his stories, his life. as if his memory isn't the reason we have an ending to the story in the first place.

as if you cannot see and feel how much they cared, as if they haven't immortalized him yet again in the movie itself.
