Lance’s hands played around with the idol’s hair, looking at it in the mirror. “Are you sure? We can play with other styles if you want– see if there’s something you prefer?”
“No, it’s fine really. I’ll get used to it, it’s just that you guys have been bleaching and straightening my hair for years, it’s a big change from that.” Jaegeun was actually slightly glad they hadn’t had to sit through yet another round of bleach for once.
“Aww your hair looks cute. At least it’s not like mine, because if the idea was for me to go blond, why couldn’t I go back to platinum blond? Now I have this shit colour in my head”
“You really think it looks cute, hyung?” Jaegeun asked, looking at them self in the mirror again as they tried to get used to the change. “It doesn’t look that bad, hyung. Maybe they could tone it down a bit or...something.” The maknae winced.
“it looks nice, it suits you well. are you not impressed with it?”
“You think so? It’s not that I’m not impressed with it, it’s just different. Really different from what I had before.”
“They usually don’t. You’ll get used to it. I got no warning before they decided to bleach my hair a while back. Now I don’t get my hair fussed with much since I have to keep it the same for filming most of the time.”
“They normally don’t tell me what they’re doing but they haven’t really changed it that much in awhile. So, I thought it would be something pretty much the same as usual, it was just kinda shock when I saw it.” Jaegeun shrugged. “Huh, I guess they can’t really do much if you’re filming things, that must be kinda nice.”

“Yes, I’ll pay for you. But if you order something really pricy you are the one paying"he murmured the last part “and also the rice cake Jae bought on the new year” junhoe rolled his eyes “I was looking for my sister, because my mom told me someone saw her in that street, I didn’t find her tho, so I still don’t know who she is” he never got to meet her, because before he was born, his mother and her husband at that time, divorced at he took his sister with him. The only thing he knew was her name, her first name. “But going back to the black eye. So as I was looking for her, a guy, whose girlfriend cheated on, thought I was the guys his girlfriend cheated on, and gave me a black eye, that was it” he answered with a small smile “yeah, that’s true. I think I’ve fell asleep in every single corner of that house to be honest”
“Ew, I forgot all about that.” Jaeguen winced, they really all needed to get better at cleaning up. It was a miracle they hadn’t gotten a rat infestation yet, the maknae thought with a sigh. “Oh.” Was all Jaeguen said when Junhoe mentioned his sister, knowing that it was a sore subject. Jaeguen them self couldn’t imagine not knowing your sibling, not with how close their older brother and sister were to them. Even though Jaeguen had moved to Seoul at such a young age the trio are still extremely close, the other two often coming to visit their little brother. “What kind fo asshole just goes up to someone and punches them? Like surely you’d actually check it was the right guy you were punching in the first place or something like that.” Jaeguen said with a small shake of their head. “You have, hyung. I’ve seen it.”
“Oh, come on, it’s not that bad. It looks cute. That’s what we were going for here.”
“It’s not bad, it’s just different. Plus, I look cute with any hairstyle.” Jaegeun giggled looking in the mirror at the hair again. “I like the colour.”
“it’s not so bad. beats the bright ass blue, pink and green i saw a while back.”
“I gotta admit it was kinda nice to not have it bleached to hell for once.”
“yeah ‘cause you’re the nicest out of us all.” gun said with a laugh, shaking his head at jaeguen. “oooh, look at you. i bet all the other maknae’s are jealous of you.” the older boy teased. “wanna go eat? my treat.” gunhee hadn’t eaten since breakfast, and it was never a waste of time when he got to hang out with one of his members, on a one to one basis.
“And the cutest.” Jaegeun teased with a grin. “Shut up, hyung, or I’ll take it back!” They huffed knowing that they wouldn’t. It was no secret how much Jaegeun liked their hyungs or how highly they thought of them all. “Yes definitely! Especially if you’re paying.”
“yes, yes we do. but when it comes to cake, my friend? i’m sorry but it’s a competition now.” ezra stuck his tongue out playfully.
“Why are you being so mean to me?” Jaeguen pouted. “What have I gotta do to get you to share this cake with me?”
“Do you have an extra jacket I can borrow, then?” Dae said teasingly, pulling his sleeves over his hands. Time spent with his juniors was time well spent, in Daegil’s opinion. It kept him humble.
Jaegeun paused at the question before smiling shyly, they definitely didn’t have a jacket. “Maybe you should have thought this whole sitting outside thing through more, sunbaenim.” Jaeguen chuckled.
Kaori nodded again. “I’ve only been here for a little bit. Not even a year yet,” she admitted
“Oh, wow. Do prefer talking in Japanese?” Jaegeun asked, easily switching over to the language with their next sentence. “Because I’d understand if you do.”
despite being a little hesitant at first, sophia shut the door behind her and placed all her bags on a chair nearby, before slowly walking over to jaeguen, and sitting near them, he legs in the criss cross position. her eyes didn’t leave them for at least a minute or so, they seemed so different and she didn’t know why. in all honestly, it worried sophia a little. despite their strictly sexual relationship, blue was a really good person and she appreciated them more than she’d ever admit. “bub what’s wrong? something’s wrong.” a frown apparent on her face as she looked at jaeguen.
“I’m just tired, Angel.” Jaeguen mumbled, moving to sit with their back resting against the mirror in the practice room. It was strange, seeing that Sophia cared. Of course, Jaeguen knew deep down that she cared, just the same that Jaeguyen cared about her but their relationship was much more about the physical than it was about the emotional. “Really tired. Hoped practicing would help. It hasn’t.”
“Ah stylists changed your hair? You’ll get used to it.” Apollo said with a chuckle at his hoobae.
“But look how different it is, sunbaenim. They could have at least given me some warning that they were going to do this to it.”
Jinhwan laughed at what the other had said. “Is your hair naturally curly?”
“A little bit but not this much. I don’t even know how they got it like this.” Jaegeun said as they continued to play with the hair. “Does it look okay?”
“Why are there so many curls?” Jaegeun mumbled tugging on a strand of the now brunette hair.
pushed, kyungho swayed to his side, weight shifted to the opposite end of his seat — not because of the force, but rather, the older’s body was unstable from laughing too much, a hand still clutched on his stomach. “when you whine like that.. how am i supposed to take you seriously hm?” he retorted after finally calming himself, wiping away the hint of tears from the side of his eye, then turning to face jaegeun again, thankful to have him around as his company for the day, mind off his longing towards his mother and younger sister. “tsk, this kid, i earn enough money that can feed us both. what kind of cake would you like? i’ll go buy it for you.” kyungho offered, obviously won’t be taking no as answer as he was already up from his seat, putting his glasses back on.
Jaegeun stuck their tongue out at the comment, pouting slightly up at the elder. “You’re os mean to me hyung.” They whined but there was a smile on their lips. Jaeguen was used to being compared to a child by now. What with being the maknae in their own group but they still liked to whine about it. “Fine.” Jaeguen rolled their eyes if he was going to insist on buying then Jaegeun wasn’t going to turn him down. Plus he definitely made more than the blonde. “Hmm, their chocolate cake is good but I’ll eat just about anything from here. I am meant to be on a diet though...” Jaeguen paused, knowing how much trouble he would get in with Aawut if the manager knew they were breaking diet again. “So, maybe just something small?”
