{♔}——-There was nothing more humiliating, Michael bargained, than being rejected from the Vulcan exploration coalition, Sarek had really given her but one alternative—- ——Starfleet. About four years had passed since that day; and now, Michael was on her way to something new.

Shimmers of solar illumination danced upon her soft features as she peered out the window of a Federation-issue shuttle that would transport her to Starfleet’s finest academy. The vacuum of space met her gaze, with which she was able to utter a sigh of pensive awe, as the view passed her by.

—–Just as she was beginning to get comfortable within her own thoughts, a solid figure took their seat next to the young hopeful, but Michael refused to meet their gaze. The shuttle was small, with only about thirty occupied seats out of its intended fifty,

so why in all of Vulcan, would they assert themselves so closely within her vicinity? “That seat seems to be taken,” she murmured with a low and tentative tone, trying simultaneously to be repellent and yet respectful.

“Or saved, if you will, for somebody else. Please relocate.” it wasn’t until now, that she turned her gaze to find that of the person who thought it wise to sit near her, before being struck with the realization that she recognized that face. “–Oh, I uh.. I’m sorry... wow,” She began apologetically, “what you must think of me—–”
