Why does he have to be so perfect? đ
angelinatritonâ:
âMy story? Am I supposed to have one?â
âOh come on... everyone has a story. Ainât a person alive without one. Unless youâre just born... but even then, you have somewhat of a story, even if you canât tell it yet. How about you start with your name. You got one of those, Iâm sure.â
ladyxmarieâ:
âOh. In that case, thank you?â Marie bit her lip as she wasnât sure that was the right thing to say, but her new friend didnât seem to dwell on things. âFresh off the streets? Iâm fromâŠa different time? OrâŠthey donât say that in my neighborhood! I donât know, maybe I heard my stepfather say it once, but thatâs really just me guessing. My mother would never say something like that. Why, is that bad?â She realized now she might have sounded stupid, and if there was anything she hated, it was not knowing something or looking bad in front of someone. When he walked away she watched, pursing her lips before running after him. Sheâd never had anyone simply walk away from her like that. âI can handle some dirt, you know. Youâre a triplet too? I am the odd one out too! My brothers and I are pretty close, I like to think, but they were always pulling my hair and teasing me. Iâm going to get them back for it now that Iâm here,â she smiled mischievously. âNow will you tell me where weâre going?âÂ
Scamp didnât really give her an answer to her question, mainly because he didnât have one. Which meant, in his book, donât answer. âGreat, glad to hear it, pigeon. And uh, no, not exactly. My sisters are triplets. Theyâre older than me, so you could say Iâm the baby of the bunch.â He couldnât help but chuckle when Marie talked about her siblings. âYour brothers sound like my sister Danielle and I. Weâre closest, out of our siblings. Sheâs the only one who tolerates my uh... well, letâs just say my rambunctious personality.â Smirking at her over his shoulder, Scamp jumped up onto a bench near by, walking across it like a balance beam before hopping down. âNo way, pigeon. Thatâs no fun, youâre walking in blind, same as me.â
ivyravenâ:
âChallenge accepted.â The witchâs glinting grin revealed the delight she took in this new game. Only but a few seconds later Ivy had her details out of order and ready to lead the man into a tale as perplexing as a labyrinth. âAfter I left the hospital with seven stitches, we decided to go to the corn maze anyway, because a little flesh wound like that ought not ruin a perfectly lovely fall evening,â the witch relayed, and held up her hand to reveal the thin, pink line on the palm of her left hand.Â
âIâm grateful it was a clean cut, though it wasnât particularly fun trying to clean the pumpkinâs insides from it.â
Scamp listened intently, trying to focus his attention on the story so that he would be able to remember the information later. âWhy did you need to get stitches?â he asked, intrigued by the start of this tale. Or, the middle of it, rather. âWow...That must have hurt...â
âNo... I canât imagine it was. So how did you cut it?â
ladyxmarieâ:
âWell then why would you call me a pigeon?! Do you always imply that women are animals?â Marie has him a small smile, she was no stranger to teasing anyway. Her brothers teased her plenty and she always held her own just fine. âIâm not familiar with the phrase, how would I know? Paris is beautiful, you should visit! Everyone should. Exploration? Where are weâ?â She pursed her lips but realized he was right. She had nothing better to do anyway. âWe can go exploring, that would be nice. As long as I donât dirty my dress too much. I really couldnât explore too much at home, it was a little dangerous. Not that it stopped us. Oh, I have two brothers! We are triplets, I should have mentioned that.â

âDonât worry about it, all right? Look, all you need to know was that it wasnât an insult.â Raising a brow when she said she wasnât familiar with his phrases, he stared at her quizzically. âWhere are you from in Paris that you donât know thatâs a phrase?â He didnât stick around to hear her question, he was already starting to leave, knowing sheâd likely follow. And if she didnât, that wasnât going to stop him. âYou canât have much fun worrying about dirtying your dress. Come on.â Urging her on, he picked up the pace a bit. âReally? Lucky you. I have triplet sisters. Identical. Guess that makes me the odd one out.â
ivyravenâ:
âI suppose that all depends on where you would like to begin,â Ivy said. âThe beginning makes chronological sense, but why take the most commonly selected path?âÂ
âWe could start at the end and work our way backwards,â the witch offered. âOr better yet, I could spew events without indicating date or year and you and I can jigsaw it together.â It wouldnât matter in any case. It wasnât likely Ivy would dedicate herself to telling the absolute truth, though she found often the absurd nature of reality beat the best imagined tales.Â
âHmmm.... I do have a passion for games, so we can treat it like a jigsaw, yeah. The beginning is usually boring, take me straight to the middle, keep me on my toes. Then bounce around.â Deciding this was the best option, he gestured for the girl to continue.
ladyxmarieâ:
âIâm not a pidgeon! Iâm a lady, thank you very much,â Marie smoothed our her hair, fixing it though there wasnât a single hair astray to begin with. âItâs like that with me, so you might as well get used to it. Off the streets? Youâre not really saying you lived on the streets, are you? Iâm new tooâŠfresh off theâŠhouse? As you said. Paris, to be more precise. I really just arrived, Iâve barely even set my bags in my room.â

âI can see that, thank you very much,â Scamp rose a brow, gesturing to her physique. âIf you were an actual pigeon we wouldnât be talking right now. Well excuse me. Itâs not like that when youâre around me, so you might as well get used to that,â he retorted, smirking slightly. âNo, itâs a figure of speech. Also, unless you lived on a house, wouldnât it make sense to say, âfresh out of the houseâ? Paris, huh? Never been. Well well well... then you have no excuse to say no to a little exploration. Come on, your bags will still be there in an hour or two.â
ladyxmarieâ:
âNot necessarily. Usually I get without having to give all that much. Besides, ladies first, right? Or, how about this. You tell me something about yourself, Iâll tell you something. Is that fair? Iâm Marie.â

âWell, welcome to the real world, Pidgeon. Itâs not always like that out here. Wish it could be, really. All right, fine, that seems fair enough. Scamp. Here, Iâll even go a second time. Iâm pretty new around here, fresh off the streets, you could say.â
ladyxmarieâ:
âToo long to tell and too complicated for you to understand. Whatâs your story?â

âYou have sisters? You have to be pulling some sort of halloween joke on me. You went downstairs and a bunch of stuffed animals were sitting in a circle and you hadnât put them there? How did you not run out of the house screaming? I hate this holiday.â
âYup. Three of âem. I swear, Iâm not! It really happened. I could have said something like a head was ripped off but then it really would have sounded fake. Promise, itâs true. Well, my sisters thought I was messing with them, except for Danielle.â
@oncexuponxrose
âBack home, with my sisters. It was just us in the house and we were all downstairs. We heard something moving and they made me check it out. Pretty spooky, huh?â

From the moment Scamp was born he was nothing but a big ball of energy. Being the baby of the family usually comes with a lot of perks, and while there were some, most of the attention he got from his parents was because he was a bit of a trouble maker. While his sisters were considered to be perfect little angels, he as often seen as the rowdy one, who was always running about causing mischief. To Scamp though, it was always in good fun. This sort of rebellious behavior caused him to bond more with his sister Danielle, who had always shown a tomboyish and spunky personality since she was little. Scamp, like his father, has a knack for wanting to run wild and free, not caring much to abide by rules.
One thing however, that Scamp didnât inherit from his father, was Trampâs flirting abilities. Scamp isnât terribly hopeless when it comes to flirting, but he certainly isnât Mr. Play it cool. He can be awkward at times, and completely confident at others. Once he sets his mind to something, he doesnât stray from it. Scamp loves his sisters, and would do anything to protect them, but he canât help but think theyâre annoying and overbearing at times.
