Reflection Time.
Considering I had never used after effects or dragonframe before I am really happy with my animation. I would have liked to have had a bit more than 40 seconds though. With a bit of extra video time I would have been able to slow down some of the animation, especially the text to make sure the viewer has enough time to take the facts in.
I found it quite hard to get a balance between the quantity of information to revel to the viewer with the 40 seconds given. There is so much impressive information about cradle to cradle and the mirra chair that I couldn't express all of it - however I do encourage you to check out these two links to show the facts in more detail: Environmental Product Summary Mirra Chair and Cradle to Cradle Framework.
In terms of stop motion animation I really enjoyed it. The most important thing I learned about it is constancy and it can be a tedious process if not broken down into small scenes and achieved over several days. I would definitely use stop motion in the future for animations.
I tried to use subtle sounds which would have relevance to the motion occurring on screen but I didn't want them to be the dominating sound of the animation. I used a strong, fun and upbeat track to play throughout the animation and I feel the track I did use is perfect for the mood of the animation. It also helps slow the animation down as it gives it a beat and rhythm to follow.
To keep with the drawing theme I used a font from dafont called king cool and animated it to be moving to give the text its own life.
I wrote the text in the animation as if its a sentence or small paragraph and it should be read this way with some text flowing onto others. Look out for the punctuation.
Overall I wanted the first materials scene (pie graph) to also be the last scene, highlighting the recycling of the materials and cradle to cradle ideologies - I feel I achieved this well.
