Playing with the 3D tools in Photoshop. Look forward to exploring this more and implementing it into some design work.
Posters I designed for the Back to School Poster Show. The first one being the one projected outside the event and the second being the poster I designed for the show.
Artist statement for poster: “Thinking about “Back to School” within a design context and given the recent election I was reminded of my digital fundamentals 1 class when we were learning page layout in inDesign. Our instructor gave us this manifesto to layout and for several weeks all we did was play with this text and experiment as we started to figure out things like column width and how to use economy and scale to effectively communicate. However looking back on that it was really beautiful that while we were learning how to design we were given this text that challenged us to think about why we design and who we design for. Now more than ever I think it’s important to think about the why and who we design for and start actively participating in our communities and using our ability and skills to communicate to help give a voice to those in need, and who don’t often get heard.”
Flasher that I designed for a denim from Naked & Famous that was an exclusive for Blue Owl Workshop.

Photos of the Back to School Poster Show. A poster show put on by Summer School Collective, a small arts collective that I manage with Lindsey Lewers. The theme of the show was “Back to School” and the posters designed were projected from overhead projectors.

Images from a party where we played and experimented with overhead projectors as a creative medium for a poster show we are putting on.

made a little drawing program that draws circles when you click and drag the mouse. I then learned how to export PDFs from it that can be edited in illustrator.

Learned how to do this. It’s early on but I’m already excited about how I can use this to make images. One of my next goals is to figure out how to make a process around this program to actually incorporate it into print design. I feel like this would be cool for a poster. Also, I need to design more posters.
Starting to work my way through “Processing: A Programming Handbook for Visual Designers and Artists”.
