📩 imessage: rylan + helena.
Helena: Exactly. Work is work. You'll still have a job come tomorrow. You're the best, act like it. THEY clearly need YOU if they're contacting you at this time.
Helena: Not long. I'm ready to go back to my place right now if I'm being honest.
Helena: Refreshing to know that you don't take it personally.
Helena: What a bore. Do you think about what dad saw in her? As in, do you think she was different or was she always like this?
Rylan: You and I are allowed to think work is work. These investors, though we all know they are old men, refuse to believe any means of social life is acceptable. I'll be around okay. I won't be a stranger.
Rylan: Wow, that says a lot, huh? Keep me updated on what you decide.
Rylan: Nah, that would be stupid if I did take it personally especially with how well I know you. I expect it.
Rylan: I'm sure she was different. Mom now, well, she's wondering why it's taking us all a hot second to actually settle down with a family and whatnot. At least, I know she's nagging me about when I'll meet a lovely lady. Her words.
DANIELA MADURO.
“Well hello there,” Daniela greeted with a bit of a smirk when she recognized the face that had entered the restaurant. She had been sat in wait in the hostess lounge while they got a table for her for just over five minutes by the time Rylan had walked in. Given that she was by herself and had been likely to dine alone it was a little surprising she had to wait at all but it seemed it was all in some universal plan so that she and the casual acquaintance could possibly link up. Well, that was how Daniela liked to look at it. There weren’t many better ways to spend time out there in the world (something she had come to know through her ability to travel in just a jump) than to have a good meal, good drinks, all with a handsome face. “I haven’t seen you in a while,” she commented as her gaze moved over him casually and took him in, “you look good. You a loner like me tonight or are you just a few minutes ahead of your date?”
The probability that he was a lone diner seemed thin to Daniela but she was unafraid to take the chance and find out. “Cause I mean, if you’re not— you know, on a date or something— what would you say the chances of a guy like me and a lady like you—” She chuckled and shook her head at the way she mixed up the words. “Shit,” the teleporter chuckled some more. While she had purposefully set out to have dinner alone, something she liked to do and had become accustomed to with bouncing around, the more time passed and the more he stood there looking good she figured it’d be better to give up on her independence for a night. After clearing her throat, she tried again, “Wanna join me? I’m all by my lonesome and I think they’re grabbing a table for me. They know I like a view with my meal and they also have Spanish wine just for me.” ( @rylannorwood )
“Woah, Maduro, hello there,” The male greeted in return with a bit of a grin, instantly remembering the other even with years of separation between both parties as Rylan entered into his favorite restaurant. It was nearing the dinner rush and without a reservation, this was Rylan’s attempt to see if he can catch a spot during prime dinner rush. Wondering if he’ll get lucky enough to even have a sat in the corner of the bar, even if it meant he couldn’t think for the life of him due to a crowd of young girls who were loudly discussing with each other. He figured they came for happy hour, though, it was long over. It was his attempt to hope the universe was simply on his side in hopes of having an evening where he wasn’t worried about having cooking. He wasn’t in the state for that. Exhaustion was real. “Likewise, I must say. What has it been? Four years or so? All I remember was you and your brother here and gone the next,” he referred to his memory, simply shrugging off his mind and his rambling tongue as he grinned toward her. Gun metal hues carefully taking her, knowing she was never a sight for sore eyes, “Thank you. You look good as well. And, yes, as a matter of fact, I’m pulling the loner card tonight. No date when I’m always working.”
He could hear a woman a few feet away from him cough, instantly causing him to focus on the elder couple as they gave him a sympathetic smile. Oh, how he was used to those due to how everyone always spoke about his looks and how he managed to lack a relationship in his life. Of course, it made him laugh but he was always far too occupied with work and keeping secrets to even open up. As all of his undivided attention focused heavily on her, immediately catching her riff of words. Something about the sight unfolding in front of him amused him, as his ears prickled with a slight pink shade. “Yes.” He answered, right away to a familiar friend. “It would be a good time to catch up with you as well. Learning about where you have all been over the past few years and when you came back to Kingsholm,” he informed calmly. More excuse to not sit by himself and actually meet with a friend, who he always enjoyed his time with. “Also, food, I know my luck of getting a table for myself would be slim to none with the crowd.” Pointing out the obvious during the prime rush hour. Naturally, his mouth corners raised toward the ceiling, nodding, “Spanish wine, huh? Sounds good.”
SOO-HYUN SEUNG.
|| nodded along eagerly, as he listened to the other speak. loving the fact, that at least one person guessed his costume, correctly. “ahhh, me too! like, it’s being way too cool! and like really creepy, too; but like also being, really funny.” rambled on, then humming in thought, at the given observation. “oooh…you’re right. well like…are you meaning like…the show lucifer? or like…just talking about in general, dressing like a devil?” seung inquired curiously, drumming his fingers, against his chin. “whelp…guess you’ll like having to wait and find out. who knows.” finalized with a small laugh, taking a sip from the cup of water, in his hand. “ahhh..sorry too…if i’m like really being too much. i’m like forgetting to take my second dosage, of my medication. so i’m being like, super…what’s it…hyper! super, hyper.” huffed, finishing the water and tossing the cup, in a nearby bin. “ which one is being your favorite? of the movies, i mean. i’m like not sure, if i’m watching all of them; but they’re pretty good.” seung asked curiously, continuing to let the conversation flow. ||
The brightness exploring of his features happened with ease as Rylan endured as everyone else was in their own element and enjoying themselves. He could as the say, especially with the other male who brought an interesting conversation to light. “Um,” he paused, gun metal hues focusing upon the party of Silvers swarming around throughout the room, “Both, maybe even? Though, I’m hoping they pick Lucifer from the show. One, the dude has insane style and two, it will probably throw people off when they remind them it’s an outfit.” It had been a show he guilty binge watched when it was airing. Now, it was a dreadful time waiting for the next season on Netflix but he was impressed someone else knew about the shows existence. “All about guessing games here,” he admitted with a shrug rolling off his broad shoulders. Though, the others words simply caused him to wave it off and come to immediate defense, “No, no, you’re okay. Actually, I was thinking of heading out because everyone is in their own element but pop culture references? I live for that.” It was a cooling, yet reassuring tone to his cavernous range, adjusting his vest on his costume. “Oh easy, Raiders of the Lost Ark. I’ve seen that one far more than the other three. Do you have a preference from the ones you’ve seen?”

Helena: You're becoming the biggest diva in your old age. I can't believe you're ditching me for fucking sketches. Can't you tell this investor to piss off? Tell them you have better, more important plans.
Helena: I've never needed your permission to yell at you. Or to do anything, really.
Helena: Yeah, she is. I tried to convince her to go as 'Bad Sandy' this year. I bought her the costume and she still didn't go for it. Our mother is a prude.
Rylan: Hmmm, I must have gotten it from our mother. Work is work, Hel. I have this deadline to accomplish or else I'll have to hear them constantly nagging over my lack of professionalism. You know, I'm just picturing those words running through my head now. It's frightening.
Rylan: How long are you planning on staying over? Maybe I'll drop by and spend the night?
Rylan: Wow, I love my words have little affect but I don't mind that with you.
Rylan: As if that would ever happen. Pure Sandy is her favorite. Do you see the way she holds the pillow to her chest when Bad Sandy comes out?
JOAQUIN VASQUEZ.
“Coming right up,” he said. Joaquin turned around to pick a bottle up. He popped off the top and then set down the beer bottle down in front of Rylan. “Anything to eat with your beer?” he asked. Joaquin tossed his towel over his shoulder and leaned against the counter. He laughed when the man said it was busy. “You’re telling me. It can be busy on the weekends, but this is a different level. I thought that Halloween wasn’t super big here in Norway,” he said. “But here we are. Glad to see that people are letting loose. Plus, the increased number of tips isn’t something I’m complaining about.”
“Thanks. I appreciate it,” he thanked, gracefully. Once the sight of the beer rested in front of him, he didn’t want to come off too eager for the drink but the thought dashed his mind before his hand reached out and he endured a much needed sleep. “Now that you mention it,” he began, gun metal hues focusing upon the woman further down the bar. Eventually, all of his attention focused on Joaquin. “An order of the wings?” Though, it was busy in the bar, it didn’t seem as many of people were currently ordering food. It felt like the right time before the food wave came in. “I don’t even know anymore myself. I heard some older ladies in the store complaining about the Americanized holiday taking over Norway and how unnecessary it is. Then again, it varies with everyone, huh?” Of course, he knew it truly did vary on people’s opinions over whether or not, they wanted to celebrate it. Guilty as can be, he took part for the act, who didn’t love the excuse to dress up for one time a year. “You definitely can’t argue about that. I wonder if those girls pregamed before,” diverting his attention to the young crowd of girls, maybe young-adults, as they were in the back of the bar squealing and downing the shots they just had. “Great night for people watching too.”
EMILIA FREYGÅRD.
She’d been throwing out a bag of evidence when her friend at the department had cornered her with his usual entertaining and teasing demeanor. Emilia liked Jon, he was friendly and respectful but he had a tendency to be a bit mischievous. Emilia should have been more suspicious since just the other day he’d mentioned just how much Emma needed to get out and meet other guys. She’d dismissed and insisted relationships were just a huge distraction and problem when it came to her. Now Jon was insisting he join her, his boyfriend and a couple of their cop friends to Moonlight restaurant for some evening discount and he didn’t give her much choice but to accept. In truth, Emma knew a day out of the house would do her good.
So she went home that day to shower and change into something nice. She left her aunt with a Harry Potter movie marathon and gave Rory a whole new bowl of food before catching the bus and then walking over. (She wasn’t sure just how much she would end up drinking so it was better safe than sorry.) Emilia was finally suspicious when she walked in to see the look on her friend’s face and no one else around him. When they got to their table he finally explained to her what was happening and Emma felt the blood rush out of her face. After a bunch of stammering and debating whether or not to make a run for it, she saw a guy come in and Jon went to go talk to him. It was too late now.
Emilia mustered up a smile as the man came over and took his hand. “Emma Freygård. Pleasure’s mine,” she greeting, impressed with herself that she didn’t sound nearly as nervous as she felt. Mostly she found herself eyeing him curiously because she could have sworn there was something familiar about him. It helped distract her from the nerves. “Uh, I didn’t either… Jon completely caught me off guard. I thought this was just a typical co-worker night off.” She nodded. “Um, sure. Sure.” Emma let out a small, nervous chuckle and sat down. “Sorry. I probably should have suspected he was up to something dodgy. He was telling me the other day I need to meet new people more often. I guess he’s just trying to be a good friend.”
Rylan should’ve known ahead of time what to expect when Jon decided to pull the dicey move moments after his arrival. It was Jon, after all. Everyone knew he had a bit of a reputation for doing things on a whim, making it a group setting and gathering when in reality, he was being sneaky and trying to make this into a blind-date aspect. He should’ve seen the signs coming after returning back to Kingsholm, making his once residency back into his permanent one after the years of traveling for work. He never properly discussed his love life with rarely anyone. Beside his mother, who even Rylan remained silent on the discussion with the older Norwood woman, who just threw out the conversation before dropping it for the next few months. In this precise moment, he wasn’t quite sure what to truthfully call this encounter. Optimism had been his more recent trait, he figured at the end of the day, he could find himself making a new friend.
“Pleasure to meet you, Emma Freygård,” he informed with a slight smile, attempting to make it less awkward. How could someone make it less awkward especially after Jon had already dipped before any response from Rylan’s or even the other woman’s behalf. Then again, he figured, it would’ve been rather rude and he wasn’t that type. He gave things a shot and like he thought earlier, he’ll know another person in his hometown, who the longer he stared at her, there was something familiar about her. After all, Kingsholm was a small town. People came and went. Just like himself. He didn’t want to assume but he found himself strangely staring, only snapping out of it when hearing her next words. “He’s a good liar. I give him credit,” he commented lightly. Once she agreed, he had politely sat down across from her before chuckling, “Huh, he uses that line on more than one person? For a second, I thought I was his victim but looks what brought us here today.”
It had been a while since Rylan came to the Moonlight. Truthfully, since his return back home from his European, working adventure, he always found himself at his mother’s place for a home cooked meal with Helena. God, if anyone could read his thoughts would think he was lame but he didn’t need someone to point that out to him. “So, Forensic scientist?” He posed, taking a moment to realize where her correlation with Jon formed. “I’ve always been fascinated with that field but I could never see myself doing that. Mostly for the fact, I suck at science,” he commented through a laugh, throwing the pointless information. “How long have you known the infamous Jon?”

SOO-HYUN SEUNG.
|| spooookyyy starter for @rylannorwood
|| he knew, coming to the gala would be dull. it seemed a good idea at the time, but now that he’d been here for about an hour; seung was really just wanting to go home to his pupper. or take her with him, to the planetarium; have their own chill movie night. the only fun thing that came out of the whole event, was the fact he got to dress up. just as he was deciding on taking his exit, his attention was grabbed. watching the man for a moment, he let his eyes take in the attire; cracking a slight smile at the familiar character. seung’s host sibling had been a huge fan of the series, and the pair had watched them multiple times; during their study free nights. ||
|| “oohh…wow. both of us are having like, the same last name. well like…the characters….we’re like being dressed up as.” blurted out, once the man was within earshot of him. never one for the most formal, of introductions; seung merely continued to ramble on. as though they’d known one another for years. “ahh…you know…like indiana jones and then…..mine is coraline jones. that’s like being like really cool, actually. there’s like so many characters, that are like being popular to dressing up as. and then out of all of them, both of ours are like having the same name. that are like not being related, you know.” in the back of his mind, he was thinking it may have been a poor decision, not taking his adhd medication. since he was currently speaking a mile, per minute. ||
Surprisingly, the amount of time Rylan lasted at the Gala shocked him. It wasn’t a disappointment though. It seemed like everything and everyone started drinking hours before even arriving at the institute. Though, he couldn’t speak for himself on the pregaming aspect for the evening due to his last minute work interpretation which filled his entire attention. The things he did to perfect everything was a horrid trait of his. But, he loved the satisfaction of pleasing the investors on the upcoming buildings. It was sooner than he expected. In a couple of weeks, the project would be in the first stages of development but relief was never just there. Nonetheless, the need for a distraction was right underneath his nose. Weeks before, he made the effort to plan an effort, going further and beyond than what he ever imagined to do for a holiday where it wasn’t full socially acceptable. Still, he felt proud of himself as his gun metal hues wandered through the crowd, not spotting a single individual dressed up in Indiana Jones attire. Score for him.
A voice did catch his attention within seconds, looking at the patron as a grin plastered on his lips as a chuckle even managed to slip through. “Woah,” he said in shocked voice, hues investigating the costume of the other. Coraline Jones. Every here and there, Rylan and his sister’s decided to switch up on their classic old school movies to something modern. Coraline had been one which took them all by surprise. “I love that movie. Coraline, you know. I just watched it with my sisters about a year ago. Since then, we watch it for our weekly movie marathon,” he inserted the knowledge. “But, still, that’s cool though. How two characters have the same name and we decided to dress up as them. I get fascinated over little things like that, honestly. I’ve seen a lot of different costumes this year. Surprisingly, no one dressed up as Lucifer yet. But, knowing my luck, since I talked about it, someone will come rolling through dressed up as such.” Naturally flowing right into the discussion, it put light into Rylan as he was soon wondering if he should bounce and head over to his mother’s house. Of course, without the outfit, especially if his sister is there which would raise possible questions.
JADE DEVERAUX.
Jade watched as all the Silvers enjoyed themselves, mostly by showing off their powers free from fear and judgement. Katya was supposed to negate people’s powers within ten feet of her, but no one knew that. From what Jade could tell from the journals, Katya didn’t share with anyone her abilities. It made Jade wonder why Katya decided to work for the police with capturing Silvers in the first place and she couldn’t find an answer in the journals. Jade was happy that people didn’t try to talk to her because she still wasn’t sure yet what she would say if they asked her to show her “abilities.” Keeping the mask on helped keep people away, all except one person that Jade spoke to weeks ago.
“Mister Norwood,” Jade said, staring down at her drink. She looked over at him and studied his costume, which was familiar to her but she couldn’t quite place where. “I could say the same thing about you,” she added. She hadn’t expected to see someone she knew to be here. She didn’t know why she didn’t expect it; it was a small town after all. Jade let out a sigh and then pulled off her mask, tossing it onto the countertop. She wondered if Katya came to any other events that the Sigrunn Centre hosted. Normally, Jade would be the one with the questions, but this time, she waited to see what Rylan had to say. She had to tread lightly here for she was outnumbered and held a dark secret no one could no about. She secretly hoped though for finding a potential ally here tonight.
His abilities had been kicked in days leading up to this precise moment. On a few accounts, he witnessed the detective whereas others, another figure lingered in the position beside him now. Minor objects in the background changed such as the lighting or the design of the layout. Things like that always changed when using his Seer ability. Truthfully, on other accords, he would’ve been helpless without it. He wouldn’t have known the end outcome of his position and returning back to Kingsholm if he didn’t use his abilities to catch a glimpse to realize some moments were full of happiness whereas others, they were terrifying. The latter one he knew from an experience in his early twenties. Nonetheless, moments changed, there had been plenty of familiar faces around and something lead him to believe it was who he thought beside her. It was a shot taken and he was surprised by his outcome. “Yeah, well, I suppose can’t hide it anymore,” he mumbled, taking a sip of his liquored beverage, remembering how uncomfortable he was time before with the unexpected conversation with her. Referring to who he was. Though, the exposure of tonight and even attending meant a jump was taken.
“Oh,” something crossed his mind in the moment. “The list. Shit, yeah, didn’t think I was going to see you here so I didn’t bring it. When do you need that again?” Of course, who did Rylan truly expect to see here was the end question. Nonetheless, he fell into silence as his digits toyed around with the glass, sighing heavily as the music echoed throughout the Gala. The turn out was impressive even if this wasn’t half of the Silver population. Others probably didn’t want to stand out and the council to know about them since the process was another. “So, how long have you known about your Silver abilities?” Mustering through the question, biting the inside of his cheek, it felt weird openly discussing this with another person knowing. Surely, others on the dance floor wouldn’t remember because long before he arrived, they looked intoxicated out of their minds. “Nice costume, though. Surely different than what I’ve noticed on the dance floor but we all have our different tastes.”

@rylannorwood
“Hey, welcome to The Wolf’s Den. What can I get you?” Joaquin asked. He set down a coaster in front of Rylan and gave him a friendly smile (all part of the job). Even when it was crowded at the bar on weekends, it was never this crowded. He had to talk louder so patrons could hear because everyone was shouting and cheering and chatting away. He leaned over to pick up a glass, ready to get the man’s drink whenever he decided to order.
“Hey,” he began through a suppressed breath, matching the volume with the insanity circling around him, “Beer. Any really. I’m not picky and keep them coming, if you don’t mind?” Rylan fell into a question, knowing he could find himself deep in beers by the end of the evening but there was no regret for him there. Truthfully, out of the nights he ended up at this bar, the jammed packed state currently unfolding around did shock him. Nonetheless, he was one of those patrons in the crowds avoiding things and enjoying an evening of drinking after having hit the Gala, which was as lowkey as Rylan kept it in his thoughts. “Busy, huh? Who would’ve thought this many people would show up.”
JADE DEVERAUX.
@rylannorwood
The weird thing about Jade taking Katya’s place that she didn’t take into account was Katya being a Silver and people believing that Jade was a Silver. She had never felt so out of place before now. She still tried to make the best of it though. She dressed up in a Batgirl costume, which mainly consisted of a cheap Batman mask and cape and whatever else Katya had in her closet. Leather pants and a leather jacket were both surprising finds for Jade, but she was happy to have found them.
Jade walked into the gala that the Sigrunn Centre hosted. She had just walked into a completely different world. It was almost like being part of a secret society and she was the odd one out…a human pretending to be a Silver. She just hoped no one would ask what she could do and she was betting that Katya hadn’t met many of the people here. She sat down at the small bar that was set up and stayed there for a while, keeping to herself and just quietly observing.
In all honesty, the decision on whether or not to attend the Gala had been something Rylan toyed with for a week after learning about the evening. An excuse for a Silver himself to be able to allow his abilities to flourish without a fear of a human civilian catching him in a deep stare, gun metal hues turning to their state of milky way and possibly freaking them out. It was a safety hazard not telling anyone who you genuinely are and living with it on a daily basis. Not even if sister dared to know about the secret along with his abilities. Truthfully, he was digging himself a grand hole and aware he may never get out of it alive but for tonight, those worries vanished from his conscious. He was here to enjoy himself as he dressed up in his Indiana Jones attire, one he spent far too long on preparing but his childhood idolization of the male was an incredible excuse for a costume.
Exploring the Sigrunn Centre kept Rylan occupied for the first hour or so, spotting the easiest access points to the bar or even the snack table, which wasn’t just a snack table but full of luxury snack items. Not your typical chips and peanuts. It was over and beyond with caviar, people lounging around there as workers rushed back and forth with more items, something always new on the trays instantly causing people’s attention to hunt for them. For him, the bar was calling his name and this was where Rylan found himself residing. A Norwegian Beer rested in a crystal glass as he lifted the cup to his lips, flourished by the taste before his hues wandered once more. The sight of the detective, in which he spoke to weeks earlier, was beside him and everything he remained in secrecy felt like a dead giveaway by being the Gala. Not even a mask could refrain from Rylan knowing of the presence. “Detective,” he spoke up in hoarse tone, standing stiffly in his attire as his digits played with the crystal glass. “You’re a silver?”
GEMMA FONTAINE.
Gemma laughed softly at the man’s response, relief written all over her face. She was thankful he wasn’t angry. Gods know she would’ve been pissed if she’d been in his place. The green leaf dress she was wearing had been expensive. Getting champagne stains on it would’ve ruined her night. She would’ve spent the whole night worrying she wouldn’t be able to use the old cleaning trick fast enough to get it out entirely. And, in all fairness, she had been rather careless with her powers. Too careless even for an event where she didn’t have to hide her powers. Despite having had the powers for years now, she certainly hadn’t honed them completely.“Jeg ødela det, skjønt,” she offered him an apologetic smile. “Hva skal du være? Indiana Jones.” Her tone was teasing as her eyes flickered over his costume. “Beklager, jeg burde sannsynligvis introdusere meg selv. Jeg er Gemma. Og jeg er veldig lei meg av kostymen din.” The redhead held out a hand for the other to shake.
A stain like such wasn’t going to determine how his evening was going to end up. Surely, he couldn’t speak for anyone else’s behalf. It was a minor slip up even due to his state of distraction as he wandered aimlessly through the crowds, witnessing bodies engulfing themselves on the dance floor. He had always been a calm and collected guy. Of course, he didn’t try to allow people to walk over him. Though, the latter is sometimes sacrifice was needed in the work place when people were funding your dreams to come true in your hometown. Not quite how others would’ve handled the current matter but the point was mute. It was the one evening where Rylan could enjoy himself with care as visions of the future of the eve would be an experience for the first time in public. “Nei det går bra. Det er bare en kostymer rett?” Under the dim lights, his mouth corners raised toward the female. Though, moments later, he broke into a chuckle at how she predicted what his costume was. He believed it was a dead giveaway but the evening was young and he’ll hear off the wall guesses from other boozed individuals. “Det er en død gi bort, va?” Having always been a classic for dressing up as a character from the iconic years of the seventies or eighties since this was what he grew up on. “Poison Ivy?” Returning a guess toward her way, a brow raising in curiosity of his guess. “Glede å møte deg, Gemma. Jeg er Rylan. Alt er bra med kostymen egentlig. Jeg vil bare advare alle i kveld om hvordan du er drinker-spilleren,” he joked immediately, making sure it road through his tone to know there was no offense and he was just enjoying himself. Shaking the red head’s hand, he grinned toward her before breaking off the shake, “Hva er dine krefter?”
GEMMA FONTAINE.
Location: Annual Silver Halloween Gala
Time: 10 pm
While parties could be fun, whenever the term Gala was used in the title they were never quite as fun. Having been dragged by her parents to attend anyway, she’d found a seat with a drink in hand. Out of boredom, she’d started to play with the content of her glass. Her eyes turned the telltale silver that denoted any Silver’s use of power. Momentarily distracted by something behind her, the small amount of champagne she’d been playing around with splashed over someone’s costume. With a gasp, her gaze dropped to their costume. Getting up, she scrambled around for napkins. “I’m so sorry! Oh my gosh! I wasn’t paying attention.” She desperately attempted to clear up the mess she’d made. “Merde,” she muttered under her breath. “Je dois arrêter d'être un tel clutz!”
Annual Silver Halloween Gala was the one time of the year where Rylan felt as if he didn’t need to hold back his Seer abilities from exposing. It was indeed his favorite time of the year whether it would be the excuse to dress up in his Indiana Jones attire for this year or simply getting out from his office, he wanted to enjoy himself away from what was circulating around town as news of Deborah Edwards still was up in the air. Gun metal hues turning into their silver, milky like context as he swarmed the crowd, wondering if he’ll notice any familiar faces. It was his state of distraction of swarming the crowd of patrons arriving for the Gala leading him to feel a wet substance splash over his chest. Hues immediately starring at his blouse, biting the inside of the cheek before he sighed but impressed he lasted this long before he ruined his costume, which thankfully he’ll only wear once in a lifetime. “No, no,” he quickly interjected, in a soothing tone as lights danced around the Gala Ballroom. “Det går bra.” Once again, not a single ounce of him was bothered. “Jer er overrasket over at min drakt holdt opp dette lenge.” It had been a hot second since Rylan had spoken in his native tongue due to his constant travels but the natural transition proceeded through.

❝ You and I are very much alike. Archaeology is our religion, yet we have both fallen from the pure faith. Our methods have not differed as much as you pretend. I am but a shadowy reflection of you. It would take only a nudge to make you like me. To push you out of the light.❞
