— rihwan was slightly amused at how the older was fawning over him. with a chuckle he returned her hug, patting her back lightly before his arms were smacked off her.
"ah, noona, have a little faith," rihwan shook his head, crossing his arms. "i don't always get in trouble!" he flashed a grin, nodding. he was right in that he doesn't always get in trouble, but that was only because he had never gotten caught. "are the rest of the bliss noonas on their way? if not i'll just keep sleeping." from his initial sitting position he slid back into lying down on the wooden floor.
"or... you can skip practice and we can hang out," he said, closing his eyes to either wait for her response or slip back into sleep. whichever one comes first. ★
RIP i’ve been so inactive! but i’ll be getting back to the thread(s?) i owe soon! meanwhile you can always holler at me for plotting and/or checking if i’m still alive. i’m also going to answer mundays... when monday comes back around lol.

Catching Up

She giggled seeing that Rihwan was asleep, probably decided to take a nap, so she decided to crush that.
“Slowing walking towards him she hugged him, “HWANNIE~ I MISSED U!”
— thank god for bliss's packed schedules.
rihwan found himself nestled in the corner of a-team's sister band, bliss's stranded practice room, sleeping soundly. when he found the room empty half an hour ago, he sighed a huge sigh of relief. he had time to spare before the rest of a-team started rolling in from their individual or unit schedules ( which rihwan wasn't invited to, much to his disappointment ), so he could catch up on some sleep before they started practicing for their next round of promotions.
he assumed bliss wouldn't mind finding him hiding in their practice room, they wouldn't do anything too bad to him anyway. he was fine with just being carried and thrown out by their manager.
however, rihwan did not expect his rest to be interrupted so... affectionately.
his eyes immediately opened wide upon the loud noise matched by a squish of the waist, exclaiming in shock on impulse. in his sleepy stupor he managed to recognize the voice. "y-yumi noona?" he turned to face her as he rubbed his tired eyes, pleasantly surprised he was right.
"please don't tell my hyungs i was here." ★

“It would be so nice if you could get a coffee for me. I’ve been working all day and I didn’t even get my morning cup.”
— just three more cups.
after what felt like a hundred trips back and forth from the practice room to the vending machine, rihwan was finally on his last batch for this morning's coffee run. he sighed as the tiny paper cup was filled with a shot of espresso, glancing at the clock. he should be dancing right now, but after losing a game of rock, paper, scissors between thirteen people, everyone cast him away to get them all coffee. now, it was only a matter of time until this coffee run was over. he swore he'd get his members back for this, but for now he had to live with carrying the coffee cups on a plastic plate from the machine to the practice room. as he started filling up the next cup with the dwindling change their dance supervisor tossed at him, he was interrupted by a passerby.
looking from the drink to his new companion, he was slightly shocked at who it was. it was that actress lady, that one he always saw around the company. she seemed nice, but rihwan was always oddly put off by her--- and now she wants him to give her coffee? he wasn't a barista, he wasn't gonna get her another cup after slaving over fourteen ( counting their supervisor ) little coffee shots.
"oh, hello, sunbaenim," he said, bowing his head as part of protocol. "yes! that's me... uh, i'm really sorry, it's just that... i really need to get back to practice, i was only ordered by my members to get us all coffee and that's why i'm here!" a nervously awkward chuckle escaped his lips. "and you see, you can always use the machine after i'm done. it's... it's right in front of you, sunbaenim."
he furrowed his brows, biting his lips as he shifted his attention from her to the filled coffee cup, placing it on the plate nestling on his right hand before pressing in the last order of coffee. did she really think she was gonna make him, someone she barely even knew, push a couple of buttons to get a shot of coffee when it could be so easily done herself? ★

it was a shot without a bullet - - despite the familiarity in his features and her sixth sense yelling at her from inside that it was the boy she treated like her son so many years ago, statistically there are at least 3 people in the world who look exactly like each other. which means that the boy could have just been a look-a-like.
— okay--- maybe not so stupid rihwan.
upon the reveal of her identity, his voice croaked as he tried to speak in front of the girl who watched him grow up. "n-noona?" he asked, barely making a sound. his brows furrowed as he examined her features, trying to look closer at her. "su-noona? really?"
his eyes widened as he did realize, she was that girl who'd trail after him and his sister's games of tag, that girl who stood by him whenever he'd visit the park, that girl who he'd whine to about the mean cameraman at the set. it was unbelievable. the noona who was getting by through babysitting became the nation's love.
once he got out of his disbelief he lightly, playfully swatted her arm. "noona! where have you been?" he whined, still trying to keep the hushed tone. "it was so boring when you left... look, now i'm an idol! and you... now you're like, a goddess!" it was like he reverted back to being seven years old as he huffed and crossed his arms. it might have looked strange to everyone else on set, but he could have always passed it off as some acting exercise.
then with a grin, he started to peeve, “i guess it's okay if you left us to be famous. i mean... i kinda get it, 'cause... look at us--- but you still left me and made me run outta coins. you owe me, noona." ★
surprisingly i’ve put up rihwan’s profile ( think kpopinfo114 and kprofiles kind of profiles? ) and plots page? so yes, if you check them out, thank you... i’ll be back posting soon, but i’ll be here for messages. ( i think. i’m too tired to study. )
finals week is this week for me so i’m gonna be MIA for a while--- i’ll be back soon, though, and if you’d like to plot and we haven’t please drop me a line!! hwan is very lonely ( and is about to come back with a-team can you BELIEVE ) so i’m also probably going to put up a random starter call after finals. that’s all, please have a nice day.

she came back to reality when she heard her manager yelling at her from the side of the set, somewhere near the lights. apologizing, she turned to the boy and did what she had to do from the start - ask. “excuse me?” her eyes scanned the room, looking for any possible eavesdroppers. maybe asking indirectly would be better. “i don’t think we met. moon suah,” she offered her hand, her already intense gaze burning holes into his eyes.
--- 'this senior is pretty spaced out. . . but scary,' was his first impulsive thought as the lady finally opened her mouth to talk amidst the staring game.
he was kind of uneasy, also kind of shaking. "kind of" being an understatement. his voice slightly croaked as he said, "oh, h-hello! yes, my name is rihwan from the group a-team, if you did not know."
was that considered rude? did she not hear him introduce himself before the shoot started? it must have been too early for her to process. . . lost in this train of thought, he was still fidgeting, twiddling his thumbs. he tried to restrain as much as possible to avoid her from looking at him even more strangely. this introduction seemed like forever to him, and in his mind he had already thought of thirty possible alibis that could stop the conversation--- but his impulses decided to keep it going.
"it's so great to be working with you!" he immediately shot down into a right angle bow, then bouncing back up as straight as a ruler. "i've seen your work, i really enjoyed your dramas, senior. i hope this cf will be a hit."
right after he spoke he immediately regretted talking on for too long. what if she didn't care? she probably didn't. and why did he say he wanted, of all things, a commercial to be a hit?

' riri'saeng! can you tell us who you cherish the most? we see you becoming closer with your group more and more! who is it that makes you laugh the most? ' 🔥
“ah— does it seem like i have a favorite hyung?” he chuckles. “well, that… is something only i know. also, all of them are equally lame, so no one in particular’s funny.” shrugging, he flashes a cheeky smile, before pausing in thought.
“but really,” he looks around, speaking in a hushed tone. “i love all my members very much.”

--- right as he steps into the dorm he kicks his high-tops off and rushes to his room. his roommates shuffle in as he changes from his brightly colored stage outfit to his everyday neutrals. topping his look off with a cap and a red and black coat, he bids goodbye to his members, telling them he'll make it back home quick and safely as he slips into his worn-out dance sneakers. he does this all while trying to bypass their manager who is checking the fridge.
well, if he gets caught anyway, he could play the "you owe me a solid" card since he once bought their manager a meal. surely that'd work.
he takes the bike parked outside their dorm and rushes off into the streets of seoul. never mind if he gets seen by fans, it would leave them wondering what's up. he loves teasing fans ( and his members, too ) and keeping them guessing, so it totally is fine for rihwan to be spotted somewhere when he doesn't have a scheduled event. as long as he returns home in one piece, he's fine.
navigating the narrow roads leading to places more obscure, he slows his pedaling as the sights become more familiar. quaint cafes pass by him, usually those owned by old couples or those people who earn a living off youtube or instagram. that was always puzzling to rihwan, but hey, at least those people keep him full with carrot cake.
as he nears his destination, he hops off his bike and chains it to the rack the establishment has up front, which seems to be only used by rihwan at all. he walks up to the glass doors and pushes both of them opens, as if to announce a grand arrival.
"hyung!" his voice resounds through the room filled with claw machines, dated fighting game consoles, and quintessential dance games. a few children look up at his voice while most regulars shrug him off. his eyes scan the room until he finds someone with unusually bright-colored hair seen a mile away. he approaches the familiar figure and rests his hands on the other's shoulders, proclaiming, "i made it!"★

that was why she was gripping her folded script so hard and her eyes couldn’t peel away from the boy - he looked like the one in her memory, but at the same time he was a completely different person. too indecisive and a little scared of potential embarrassment, she stayed where she stood, peeking at him while a sponge was delicately placed on her skin by her make up artist and playing a guessing game with herself that revolved around her costar’s identity.

--- did he introduce himself before the first shot weirdly? did he miss a cue? what did he do wrong?
sat on one of the folding stools by the camera crew, rihwan twiddled his thumbs nervously as he almost felt the weight of her stare. he knew that his co-star's a pretty big deal. she had been in a couple of dramas and is probably korea's new favorite primetime princess. god forbid he did anything to wrong her. he tried not to meet her gaze which fell upon him even as he stayed on the other side of the set, the downtime before filming another shot tiring him out more than the shooting itself.
honestly, it was kind of weird for rihwan since she reminded him of someone from his childhood, but he really couldn't imagine moon suah as a babysitter. sure, she could play a babysitter in a drama and it would be an astounding performance--- but surely, she wasn't the girl who took care of him and his siblings a few years ago. the thought was dismissed right after he completed it.
as the director called to standby for the next shot, his eyes slightly widened. he glanced at the script on his lap, then over to his co-star, then back to the script. she was still looking over at him. he wasn't sure if she understood that he knew that she was staring at him. the shot was about to resume in a few minutes, and all he could do was retrace his steps in his mind, wondering what horrible mistake he made in front of the other. he picked up his script and pretended to skim through it as thoughts raced his head, from time to time glancing over at her to check if she's still at it. ★
