After waiting, they showed security their IDs and walked in. It was rather busy, and there were many people flirting with one another. Ryuji awkwardly followed Ren to the bar, deflating as soon as he sat down, “Man… I don’t know if I can do this…”
“Don’t be such a downer. I’m sure you’ll have a great time,” this time, Ren smiled a little. Though he was quite expressionless, Ryuji knew he had a certain way of smiling that signaled he was up to no good.
OR Ryuji runs into an old friend at a bar, and rediscovers old feelings.

Summer. Hot, overwhelming and overall irritating.
And yet here, Yusuke was, wearing a hoodie, as he watched the others play volleyball on the sand. He sighed, gripping the hoodie tightly. He never understood the appeal of walking around with barely any clothes on. Maybe it was insecurity, maybe it was just summer overall, but whatever it was, he did not like it. Even though he felt like he was gonna die of heat any minute.
When the beach got brought up one random afternoon after a Mementos sweep, he wanted to turn away the idea immediately, but he knew they’d be upset about his absence. Especially Ryuji. He sucked it up, still ending up on the sidelines.
OR Yusuke tries to become more comfortable with himself, with Ryuji’s help, of course.

Yusuke always loved the stars. The way each one was unique, dotting the sky like freckles. As a young boy, he would look out his window, and hope on a single star, that he’d be happy again. Sometimes even now, he wondered if the stars heard him, and brought one Sakamoto Ryuji to him.
Ryuji was very different from himself. Sometimes aggressive, a bit brash, but he knew he meant well, even if his methods weren’t always ideal. Regardless, Yusuke loved him more than anything. He was one of the first people to actually care for himself without any of the superficial feelings, and sometimes he wondered if he was holding him back from his true potential. Was Ryuji truly happy with him? Was he enough for him? He pondered that often, but never once brought it up in conversation.
OR Yusuke and Ryuji only have each other, and that’s ok.
