Summer. Hot, overwhelming and overall irritating.

And yet here, Yusuke was, wearing a hoodie, as he watched the others play volleyball on the sand. He sighed, gripping the hoodie tightly. He never understood the appeal of walking around with barely any clothes on. Maybe it was insecurity, maybe it was just summer overall, but whatever it was, he did not like it. Even though he felt like he was gonna die of heat any minute.

When the beach got brought up one random afternoon after a Mementos sweep, he wanted to turn away the idea immediately, but he knew they’d be upset about his absence. Especially Ryuji. He sucked it up, still ending up on the sidelines.

OR Yusuke tries to become more comfortable with himself, with Ryuji’s help, of course.

Yusuke always loved the stars. The way each one was unique, dotting the sky like freckles. As a young boy, he would look out his window, and hope on a single star, that he’d be happy again. Sometimes even now, he wondered if the stars heard him, and brought one Sakamoto Ryuji to him.

Ryuji was very different from himself. Sometimes aggressive, a bit brash, but he knew he meant well, even if his methods weren’t always ideal. Regardless, Yusuke loved him more than anything. He was one of the first people to actually care for himself without any of the superficial feelings, and sometimes he wondered if he was holding him back from his true potential. Was Ryuji truly happy with him? Was he enough for him? He pondered that often, but never once brought it up in conversation.

OR Yusuke and Ryuji only have each other, and that’s ok.

Summary:

The Phantom thieves were close to cracking the case of the man Madarame truly was. After days and trying to convince a very stubborn Yusuke, they had made it to the second to last level of his museum.

They were almost close to making it to the last level, when something just had to go wrong. Ryuji had taken one clumsy step, and accidentally tripped a wire. He looked up, noticing a glass wall that was coming down rapidly, and Yusuke was standing under it. In an act of desperation, Ryuji acted.

“Fox, look out!”

He tackled him to the ground, before the wall could crush him, but trapped them in the process. Morgana sighed, “Skull! What did you do??”

“Hey!! How was I supposed to know there would be a tripwire?! Give me a break!!”

Ann sighed, “You two, stop. It’s fine. We’ll just have to find a button or a lever, right?”

Ren nodded, “Shouldn’t be too hard. We’ve done it once before. Come on, let’s hurry.”

OR Ryuji and Yusuke are stuck in a not so ideal situation when infiltrating Madarame’s Museum, but they make the most of it.
