paleo doodles

any tips to understand dinosaur anatomy better as an artist? I tried to use cassowary legs as a reference but it didn't help much.

I cannot fully grasp how a baby trex could have looked compared to an adult one. I googled juvenile rex's skeleton later and it turned out I messed up completely with this wide head and not long enough legs. I don't want it to look cartoony
