"I didn’t expect to see you working this late, sir,” Riza told the colonel, glancing upwards at the clock to see if she had gotten the time right. “Or did you fall asleep again?”.

“I’ve lived here for some time actually.” The woman replied with a curious tilt of her head. She supposed even after all the time, the Lady did still give off the feel of a foreigner. Someone who wasn’t quite a part of the place they were living in.

Then again, if they had known about her sooner, maybe the City would have thought twice about allowing a homunculus to own an apartment building.

“I suppose I don’t get out to this part of the city as much as I’d like, it’s not close enough to my home or the shopping district to be convenient walking distance for me.”

Riza frowned slightly, embarrassed by her mistake, but still unable to escape the feeling that the other woman seemed out of place somehow.

“What a shame,” she said mildly, waving down a waiter so she could place her order, “It’s a nice part of the city, if quaint compared to the rest.”

There were reasons how and why Avara knew Riza’s name, but she wasn’t about to go talking about them just then, and certainly not in a public setting like this one. Better to let sleeping dogs lie, as the saying went.

“I like the peach one especially, it’s got a very welcoming flavor to me. Their food is a little sub standard though.” Or at least not up to the standards of luxury-loving Avarice.

“I’ll make sure to order that one then,” Riza said, neatly folding her menu. SHe normally went for coffee, but on a sunny afternoon like this, she welcomed a bit of a change of pace.

“So, Miss Avara, what brings you here to Central?”

While being recognized was a bit surprising, it wasn’t something the Lady considered a bad thing. She did like attention after all, and that included having her reputation preceed her.

“Why yes it is. And you’re Ms Hawkeye of course. Do you frequent this place often? I rather like their iced tea.”

"Just Riza is fine,” she said a bit surprised to learn that the other woman knew who she was. More often than not, she was lost in the shadow of Colonel Mustang, and in some ways, she preferred that. A certain sense of anonymity made military life easier for her. 

“And only a few times,” she admitted, “Though I can’t say I’ve tried their tea.”

roleplaying, for me, is about exploring characters and worlds through story. Interaction with both the muse and the world, then, is vital, and I do not mind sacrificing a small thing from one to significantly advance the other. It’s always a good idea to talk to me if you’re uncertain and it will be easier once we know each other better, but I just wanted to put this out there so you lot know what I’m comfortable with. There’s a lot of ‘no godmodding whatsoever!!’ going around in this community and obviously, with big things, it’s a no-go – but I’m still more interested in the story.

Smiling at the fact that it was summer, Chopper approached the young woman before him, poking her leg a few times in order to get her to look down. His wide smile never faded as he stood to hide the volleyball behind him. "Come to the beach and play with me!" He demanded playfully before awaiting a reply.

She eyed the creature suspiciously, “And what kind of game did you have in mind exactly?” she asked as her hand slipped above her gun’s holster.
