you know, I’m actually shocked that Marvel’s got the guts to take FATWS in this direction. to explore the ways in which the white Avengers have an easier time being accepted by society as heroes while Sam is left to struggle financially and emotionally, and how he’s even fucking encouraged as “doing the right thing” for giving up the shield as if he’s done the country a service by relieving them of having to look up to a black person as a leader and hero. it is sickeningly reflective of society now and fills me with a very real rage.

Clarke’s drawings in season 5 and 6 of The 100

aka Part 3 of my series of Clarke Griffin-related visual analyses, following:

Clarke Griffin’s memories and images in her mindspace 

During my latest rewatch, I tried to pay attention to Clarke’s drawings in her Shallow Valley home that we saw in season 5 and identify them. And while preparing the above two posts, it seemed like a logical extension, because 1) the same set was reused as Clarke’s Happy Place in her mindspace, where we saw many of the same drawings, and 2) while making the list of memories represented on Clarke’s mind walls, I’ve noticed that several of them were reused images from season 5, or very similar to them. 

It makes sense as they both represent Clarke’s memories of the people and events of her past life during the times of isolation - and the art department had a huge job on its hands, which they did really well. Plus, it would be sad if we never saw those drawings again, since, in-universe, they were  all destroyed 125 years ago - and some of them were only seen in the background in season 5, or not at all.
