One important practice and community has kept me going during the lockdown. Finding the yoga community and meeting tons of new friends over the last few years, has helped me manage stress and tell myself that everything is going to be OK. I am still here with my family, health (except with this annoying cough #allergies. 😂,) and fur baby 🐈. As soon as this situation is over, I am going to have a better connection with friends and have magical moments with @kimyogafit at sunset. Day 13. Socially awkward by being literally isolated from all my friends, the yoga community and sometimes family. (I saw my family a couple days ago, so I would not go crazy.) Some how, I've managed to make a couple of friends mad at me and make myself fall into the spiral of darkness. (Stress, Not eating/drinking, over thinking literally everything.) Plus side is, I manage to stay away from all the people the best I can, keep myself and apt clean and not drink a boat load of booze. Also, I spend hours playing video games with online friends. I guess me keeping an IG journey of this pandemic BS helps me get my thoughts out my head. Day 10/11. It was nice to get out of my apt to go see my mom and family. Sometimes we have to get out for the sake of our own mental health. Sure, you can do all the workouts, adult time, video games and staring at the ceiling but, eventually we get bored of all the things. and mans are not meant to be locked down for extended periods of time because we were born outside in the wild. Day 9. Depression with a mix of friends, family, loved ones and @blackriflecoffee ☕. A lot of friends are realizing what it means to be stuck in the desert or on a Navy cruise ship for months at a time. At least this time around of being "locked down," I can still go outside to be with friends or family. Also, for all of you out there, it is healthy to reach out to someone for a vent session when things get to be overwhelming. This BS was mismanaged from the start and now we all have to come together for us all to come out healthy. Day 4, or whatever day it is now. I guess the sad part is realizing that Sunday fun days at the beach are a bit different now because of the social distancing yourself and the virus. After years of ups and downs at the beach, we have always come back for warm hugs and human connection. I think everyone has to do some yoga, get in some play time or chill time at the beach during this pandemic. Taking care of ourselves and those close to us can help ease tension, anxiety and worst of all fear and panic. Those two things (fear) can make a bad situation even worse.
