Truly, no matter who you come to fancy, I only hope that you enjoy what you read. "The Chess Master" is a paranormal drama perfect for Autumn/spooky season, but far from grusome, and "All That Remains" is a dramatic, cozy, slice-of-life with seasons and romance and lots of fluff and fun. I would recommend these books for sixteen and up. However, i do rate my books 18+ for overall content because I can't gage sensativities. There's no physical sex though. In both of my books, there are trigger warnings listed at the front. But with "All That Remains," I also have glimmers listed - meaning the good stuff. To me, those are kind of spoilery, but I understand why both Triggers/Glimmers would be needed. If you're looking for something new with a little bit of mystery and sweetness, I recommend both of my books. 🥰

I’m not a big fan of headcanons, but I have one that fits so perfectly that I want to share it!

Tala from Beyblade is Udmurt!

Let me explain why it works so well.

1) Anyone, who know Russian at least a bit, should know that “Tala Valkov” is not a Russian name. Like, absolutely. His Japanese name was pretty  generic Russian name, Yuri Ivanov, but, for some reason, it was changed for English version. It bothered a lot of people, it bothered me too, before I accidentaly noticed something…

2) His name. There are no Russian words for “Tala”. But there are several Udmurt words! Most known meanings are “to grab”, “to rob”, “to pillage“, “to reid (on something). Sounds fit for the leader of “Demolition boys”! His surname, “Valkov”, sounds like it comes from “Val” - Udmurt for “horse”.

2) Btw, his original name works too. “Ivanov” is one of most popular Udmurt surnames, after merging with Russia. “Yuri” has several meanings in Udmurt as well.

3) His looks. Tala is pale redhead, and Udmurts are the most redhead nation in the world (it’s a fact!)

4) His both costumes are red and white, colors accociated with Northen Udmurts also why am i still writing all of this probably no one even got to this part because no one interested in udmurt stuff and those who are interested in udmurt stuff are not interested in beyblade bye.

Very interesting!! I knew his English name was not very Russian at all… where did Valkov even come from, I’ve never heard his last name given in the dub (maybe I missed it)?

Fun Fact: The name surname Valkov is a purely fanon name that can be traced back to a fanfiction author who was active back in 2003-2006 who wrote KaiOC incest, abusive Boris(Bryan)OC and Yuriy as a fascist dictator fanfics lmao.

Due to her popularity It somehow weaseled its way into fandom lore and is largely considered to be his dub name to this day despite Yuriy does not have a dub surname.

Guys, guys, what do you think Max’s ancestry is on his mom’s side?? His dub surname indicated some sort of Nordic descent. I just learned that Tate means cheerful, so I’m proud of the dubbers for picking something with meaning.

That's a good question.... And now I'm wondering if Max is hinted to only be a quarter Japanese in the dub because of his dad's surname. The Subbed version makes it make sense. 🤣 I think regardless his mom is supposed to be of Eastern European descent. She seems to have soft Roman features.

I think I just assumed that he took his mom’s surname in the dub for some reason. So I think of his mom as Northern European and his dad as full Japanese.

Now that I think about it, he may have her last name because I think there is a line in the dub where they refer to Judy with her full name. Think I'm going to stick by what you just said as cannon now. XD

After the initial freak out was over, I'd try to hide it, and in the meantime, try to adjust to losing my dominant arm.

From getting dressed, to eating, my life has forever changed.

While going about my day, I'd mull over every detail when it comes to asking the genie to reverse this ill turnout.

That's the last time I eat seafood three nights in a row, I think as I climb into bed that evening, the pincer oddly-enough making it easier to pull the covers over me.

I'm a much older woman, so maybe this pincer isn't such a bad thing after all?

It's been decades since I haven't had pains in that arm and moderate mobility in that hand.

Rethinking my situation, If I meet the genie tonight, I may thank him instead. As difficult as the transition will be, I've ultimately decided to keep the pincer.

5 things your character can't do while speaking

Choke. Just think about it, seriously. Think about what choking is and imagine speaking while it’s happening. That would fuckin’ hurt, man.

Hiss. Look, it’s just not possible, okay? No matter how “evil” you want your character to seem.

Snarl. Animals snarls. The Beast from Beauty and the Beast snarls. The Hulk snarls. You know who doesn’t snarl? PEOPLE WHEN THEY’RE SPEAKING.

Shriek. Come on, 99% of the time, “shriek” is not the word you want.Let’s face it: if you put an exclamation point at the end of the sentence, your reader gets the picture. Don’t bring to mind banshees and screaming toddlers.

Sneer. I’m not even going to bother explaining this one. “SNEER” ISN’T EVEN A SOUND.

Choked is not meant to be taken literally, an obstruction in the throat. It means they’re having difficultly speaking, they’re forcing the words out with difficulty. Often used when the character is convulsed in tears or laughter.

Hiss is a low, threatening whisper. Raw, guttural, vicious. It is NOT a literal hiss like an animal, it is a tone of voice that serves the same function. Someone will hiss that they’re going to cut your throat- a message from one person to the other.

Snarl is the same kind of thing. Not literal, it’s a tone of voice that serves the same function. It’s raw and gutteral like a hiss, but more savage than vicious. It’s loud, it’s showy, it’s intimidating. It’s very alpha male, big man, look at how fucking dangerous I am. I’ll take ALL of you on. Even if they’re snarling at one person in particular, nobody better back them up or they’re gonna get fucked up too.

Shriek. Come on, seriously? We’ve all heard people shriek either in fear or outrage. High pitched, loud, out of control, feminine. Men can shriek, but it’s funny and emasculating. Think angry italian women throwing pots and pans or ladies on tables who just saw a mouse.

Sneering is contempt whether it’s a facial expression or a tone of voice or both. There are a hundred different ways to sneer with your voice, but it all adds up to the same thing.

I haven't finished the entire season of a show in one night since Broadchurch nearly 6 years ago. Y'ALL!

This series had me both ugly-crying and happy-crying many times throughout! It's every bit a charmer! Endearing moments, thought-provoking life lessons, brightly colored, cutely drawn (looks like Fairytale or Blue Exorcist's style in my opinion), heartwretching, funny, and heartwarming! I love this show thus far! It's on par with Aggretsuko and/or Beaststars at this point, and I really hope they make more!
