Final Post ;(
Throughout this course I wanted to gain as much knowledge as I could surrounding history and design in general. At first I was there to simply just learn about history but after a while I discovered how much knowledge Andy and Karen had for design in the real world and I wanted to know as much as I possibly could. Every class and lecture I would learn something different, a different way of thinking or of creating.
I really enjoyed learning about the Bauhaus movement, as I was only ever introduced to it partially in high school. More so it was interesting to know how much it influenced deign today, however I’m not too sure about their ballet…
The most I have definitely gained from this course it the idea of prototyping. Im so bad with explaining ideas orally, I always feel like I have to have a rough version of whatever I’m doing for someone to understand my idea. Being an extremely visual person, having a prototype is the best way for me to realise ideas, as they go straight from my head to paper. They usually don’t look as good as what I imagine but it helps so much to have a good foundation for a starting point.
Thank you Andy and Karen for everything! Going to miss the classes and lectures so much ;(
