#Hahahaha I live in Florida and my weather app says it's 65F (it's 3am)#That's cold #A couple months ago I visited my best friends up in Pittsburgh and they keep their house set at 66F #I literally bought and wore thermals #I mean I bought the thermals because we were also making a trip up to Vermont where it was even colder #But I definitely wore the thermals in their house and felt like I could exist again #My house is usually set to 71-73F #If I'm sitting on the patio after the sun has gone down and there's a slight breeze and the temperature is 70 or below #then I will have goosebumps #The COLDEST cold it gets here in winter is usually like mid 40s #Listen though #One day while I was up in Pittsburgh we were working on clearing some yard debris #Pitchfork. Wheelbarrow.#I was hogging the pitchfork and they said 'how are you not dying? It's so hot'#It was like 74 degrees #I said the temperature felt great and that I'm coming out of summer in the mid 90s with high humidity lol #I don't LIKE mid 90s but I am acclimated to it

hey fully vaxxed (american) people ur still gonna like. wear a mask right. on account of there’s no visual indicator that ur vaccinated. and on account of u wanna give service workers and nonvaxxed people peace of mind when ur interacting with them. and on account of vaccines aren’t 100 percent effective. and on account of so many antimaskers and antivaxxers are gonna lie and say they’re vaccinated so they can not wear one and then ur at an even higher risk. yknow. on account of vaccines aren’t 100 percent effective.

#I have a really hard time with needles but the shot today was so quick and mild?#I wasn’t watching the nurse do it but as soon as she said ‘done’ I thought ‘🤨 did it even go in? it felt like it just grazed the surface’#Amazing #Leading up to the shot I was like 80% mental distress and 20% physical distress #and as soon as it was done I was supposed to wait in the building for 15 minutes for monitoring #and at that point I felt 0% mental distress and 100% physical distress 🙃#Which is annoying because I knew that the whole thing was done and not bad at all #but the rest of me was like Nope you put in an order for these anxiety symptoms and we gotta deliver. Can’t cancel them.#Got like halfway to fainting and threw in some dry heaving in the pharmacy waiting area at Walgreens 🤗#Anyway I’m team Pfizer ✌️#12 hours out now and I’d say nearly zero side effects. Extremely mild discomfort at the injection site.#I rated the discomfort as a 5 out of 100.#All of that fainty reaction immediately after the shot wasn’t about the ingredients it was about my own needle anxiety #I even told the nurse beforehand I said You could inject me with saline and I might faint

A memory that I was just thinking about recently:

Several years ago, when I was in my mid-20s, I had to make a quick trip to the post office. It was getting close to sunset, kind of in that twilight hour. I get there, and as I’m walking towards the building there’s this older man who asks me if I know where such-and-such neighborhood is, and can I drive him there. I held my hand up 🖐 and said “oh, no, I don’t know where that is. I can’t take you”.

I went inside, mailed the package I had brought, and came back out. He was still standing out there, and he started asking me again as I had to walk past to get to my car. I told him again that I couldn’t take him, and picked up my pace towards my car. He followed me towards my car, and by the time I was at my driver’s side door, all I could think was “get in and lock the doors”.

I’m not used to even using the lock button, because the doors lock automatically when you take the car out of park. Where even is that button? I didn’t want to flounder around looking at buttons. Got in, keys in ignition, gearshift into reverse. Doors locked automatically. And just barely in time, too, as a moment later he was yanking on my passenger side door handle.

I held my hand up towards him again. Shoo! Back up! This car’s going to start moving! I left. It wasn’t very easy to drive home, as my foot on the gas pedal (as well as the rest of me) was shaking so much.

If I HAD been too slow and he opened the passenger door? Tried to get in? I would have gotten out immediately and gone back inside the post office for help.
