Trying to talk myself into streaming the painting process for my buckler today...but the little critters that live in my home all have ants in their pants and aren't settling in for a pleasant stream experience for anyone 😞

I guess we'll have to pick up on live tomorrow!

In the meantime on live yesterday I posed the question on when mica powder was in use. It turns out humanity has been using mica in their pigments since the upper paleolithic! This was used in paints that decorate cave walls. The most common color forms in use being red, black, and white.

Anyway, I hope you are all having a good day. It's rainy here (which I love) and I suppose it's time to settle in with a hot cup of tea while painting. I'll post an update on how far I get tonight and we'll try the live thing again tomorrow.

If you haven't been on TikTok in recent history you may not be familiar with this "meme"/trend...

If you have enjoy this slight twist on it as I share a crumb of Lady Arane Mephekiir's backstory. Presented with her kidnapper (and technically now husband) Gregor Bareghast as she gives him the Kiss of Death in order to gain her freedom.

The Kiss of Death is a spell poison combination wherein if brewed properly and with the correct incantation the wearer of the poison will not die while those who make contact with it will.

I hope you enjoy this little snippet as I am working along the series!
