Do you even understand how strong black people would be is we all learned to love ourselves as a collective? If we all went to therapy to undo all these generational traumas and cycles that plague our everyday life? If we believed in ourselves enough to improve and want better. I just want black people to love themself. To not look down on other black people who are just as or darker than them. We hate every part of our blackness I really do believe. Any feature “too black” is considered ugly. although media feeds that idea to us, i think its the fact that black people implement these idealogies into their life in everything we do is why we cant progress. We have to LOVE ourselves. If black lives matter, we have to believe it wholeheartedly. How can you convince people that black lives matter when you cant even love yourself and ALL of your blackness, including the things that media tries to tell you is ugly. i want black people to love black people more
