Name's Magic Bean, and english is not my best language! I like G/T, insects (especially butterflies, moths and bees), and kaijus. I write short G/T sorties sometimes. The girl in my header is me like 6 years ago or something. I miss that giant hand dearly.
Hello! I’ve seen some people be pretty confused about what g/t is and a lot of gross miscommunication regarding it at times, so I figured I should make a post to clear things up and explain it for anyone who just randomly stumbled across it!
G/t is short for Giant/tiny, and is a term for any sort of character dynamic revolving around the idea of two characters with different sizes interacting. For example, The Borrowers or the Lilliput section of Gulliver’s Travels.
The appeal is mainly that it’s cute. Having a tiny friend standing on your shoulder or riding in your pocket just plain sounds cute, so it’s something we focus on in the content we write or draw.
At the same time, some people (myself included) look at it as a way to cope with things. I like the idea of being able to hold someone small and keep them safe because in reality, I often feel like I can’t protect the people I care about and I want to be able to do more for them. I focus on this idea because it just feels comforting, imagining being able to carry my friends around, keep them safe, scare off anyone who wants to hurt them… it’s vicarious, but in a way it’s calming, imagining being able to help someone like that.
Most people who view it as a coping mechanism generally have a reversed perspective, wishing they had someone there to protect them and carry them above any danger.
I’m assuming you’ve probably seen people fetishizing the same concept, and yes, some people have a more sexual perspective of g/t. We call that macro/micro, short for macrophilia/microphilia, and generally consider it to be somewhat distanced from g/t. One’s a character dynamic, the other’s a kink.
Unfortunately, some sites haven’t exactly gotten the memo about this, so on some you’ll still see macro/micro content being tagged as g/t. Tumblr seems to be the main site that sticks to the rule of “#g/t for SFW, #macro/micro for NSFW”, so in my experience it’s been the best for finding good g/t content.
You can look through my posts if you want a better idea of what g/t is, and feel free to ask me if you have any questions about it!
"youve already written that trope" yesss. i like it a lots. i will be writing it again. 1000 stories of the same trope over and over again for ten million years
The timing of your most recent post is impeccable, actually...
Because I just recently got back into transformers, so to have you suddenly just go "hey, what do you guys think of transformers?" is just...
I've been following you for, like, four years. The odds of this astound me
Also, in case you don't remember me (/j)
:)
I would love to see more transformers stuff on my timeline
AHHH HIII!! ☺️ So happy to see you!!
Yeahh ive been away from my G/T blog for a while, meanwhile I became obsessed with Transformers. I can't believe I slept on this franchise my whole life, it presses all my buttons! Giants, robots, aliens!!!
I blame Michael Bay for making me miss out on this franchise. Growing up with the live-action movies I always thought the transformers were just rude, unpleasant and full of toxic masculinity, until I watched the cartoons and I was like "WHAT??? CYBERTRONIANS CAN BE KIND AND SWEET??" And now I'm insane.
Ayo, how many Transformers fans who are also in the G/T community??
Oneshot of What If Thundercracker Came Across One Of The Humans He Spared When The Decepticons Were On A Genocidal Rampage!!
Please tell me I'm not the only one who's been thinking about this obsessively.
Thundercracker avoided interacting with humans whenever he could.
Yes, he promised to himself he would protect them now, but he had blood on his hands. Directly or not, it didn't matter to him. He once stood by and watched the Decepticons crush humans into paste or burn them to a crisp, without doing anything to stop them. With all the things he witnessed, looking at humans in the eyes was... Difficult.
Which is why he was very uncomfortable right now.
Optimus had insisted that Thundercracker participates in an effort to aid humans in repairing a dam. A bit more electricity would be a blessing for a community trying to recover from the Decepticons' rampage.
He almost ignored the humans as he lifted pillars and machinery. A part of him was also afraid that humans learned to associate red glowing eyes with the cybertronians that ruined their lives. Well, it wasn't real fear no, of course these humans didn't threaten him, no matter how angry they could get. It wasn't fear, it was simply shame.
At some point, Silverbolt forced him to take a break. He seemed to notice something was wrong with Thundercracker.
So Thundercracker crossed his arms and sighed, leaning against the face of the cliff.
Unfortunately he noticed a human staring at him.
He gave the human a quick glance, and looked away. Just ignore them... It will pass. Humans barely ever start friendly conversations with Cybertronians, especially not with him.
But the human hesitantly walked closer. Ugh, this is going to end up being an interaction one way or another, isn't it?
He looked at the human. Big eyes. Meek. They looked silly and too small for their big security vest. A creature. But they didn't appear to be a young one, just weak compared to other humans around. He respected their willingness to help in a mission that required strength, despite their lack of it.
"...Everything alright, human?..." He said awkwardly.
But the human just stared, like they were amazed. Surely it wasn't their first time looking at a Cybertronian?... There were other cybertronians around, some way friendlier than him... So why him?
He became nervous. Was it the red eyes?... Was this about him looking like Starscream?...
"...It's... It's you..."
Thundercracker blinked, his spark twisting uncomfortably. "Uh... I... I don't think-..."
"it's you. You saved my life." The human insisted.
"...What?..." Thundercracker frowned in confusion. Processing. When did he personally save a human's life?...
"During the attack... You let us get away..."
Thundercracker squinted, studying the human that was in front of him... Then his eyes went wide in recognition as it all came back to him. That? That one time he shooed away some humans while Soundwave wasn't looking?... Yes... He sort of remembered one of the humans having those eyes...
"Ah-..." He had no idea what to say... Apologize? Say he's glad they made it out alive? Nothing felt right.
He shifted uncomfortably, trying to hide his surprise as the human looked at the aerialbots around.
"...So you're with the... auto-bots, now?"
"If you can still call us that..." But he shook it off, that part wasn't important. He focused on the human. "You don't have to be afraid of me ever again. I swear on my spark."
"...I never stopped thinking about you, you know?... It kept me up at night, wondering if you really meant to do that..."
"...Meant to... help you...?" He said hesitantly.
"Yeah... I mean... Suddenly out of nowhere aliens are real and they're right here, blowing everything up and.. and... We can't help but ask ourselves 'why are they doing this? What do they want?'... And then you. Back when it happened I didn't think about it, I just took the chance you gave us and ran, but after all that... I couldn't stop thinking about it. Sometimes I wondered if i just remembered it wrong, because it seemed so crazy to me... That one of you... giant metal aliens... had mercy on us... And I owe my life to that."
Ever since that day, he tried not to think too hard about those humans he allowed to escape, assuming they might not have made it out with all the other Decepticons around... He sighed. "You did not remember it wrong. I despise what we did to your kind..." He paused. "....I... I'm glad that one of you made it out alive..."
"Not just me!... Most of us made it out... Well, some of us."
Thundercracker wanted to force a smile for their attempt at bringing him good news, but instead he frowned with sympathy.
"...But it would have been none of us, if it weren't for you having just a smidge of compassion."
"Hm." He softened, accepting the point they were trying to make. He had to admit the human was somewhat endearing... Maybe it was just a little funny that the small creature felt the need to be kind to a hardened warrior from another world.
The human watched him quietly a moment, then. "...So, what's your name?..."
"Thundercracker." he replied, putting his knee down. It seemed like the polite thing to do to talk to a human. "...May I ask yours, human?"
"Robin... It's nice to properly meet you..."
He nodded. "You're right... It's... It's nice..."
Thundercracker couldn't look away from the human's eyes now. He believed the human should be bitter. They knew he used to be a Decepticon. They should realize what it means. And yet, despite everything, Robin's eyes were sparkling with gratitude. These eyes weren't the reason why autobots protect humans... But there sure was something motivating about them.
Nobody has ever looked at him like that before... or at least, he couldn't remember the last time someone did.
"...Perhaps we should get back to work, little thing."
"Right!..."
So he was back to working on the dam. This time with a human following him around. He did all the hard work, but he didn't mind. It was funny to watch Robin make lousy attempts at being helpful. Ah, where's the harm in letting them feel included?
This is a self-reblog from my comfort character blog.... I sort of realized, maybe the g/t community would be interested in a human/transformers fanfic?... Especially this one. Maybe. Just maybe...
Because of Giku's Mini Gustave AU on X, I decided to listen to the voices in my head and make an Arrietty/Expedition 33 AU. So yeah, it exists, do what you want with it
not enough people get the whole point of why transformer x human relationships are so appealing. the thing is, i want to feel small when compared to my partner. it doesn't matter how tall or buff or tough you are. the moment you get lifted off the ground by a hand that can fit you in its palm, or get kissed along your whole torso by a robot whose head is bigger than you, you will feel tiny, and it'll be the best feeling in the world.
Lots of thoughts recently. Everything feels plastic.
I could go on and on about why all that AI "art" is bad. I could mention theft, lack of creativity, it's impact on the work field and environment, but countless people have already said all that. I wanted to touch on something that to me is the most utterly wrong about all of it.
Art is more than just something pretty to look at or listen to. It's therapeutic. It's a form of communication. A tool for human connection. It's a pure, human need.
On April 16th 2025 the US federal government has proposed to change the interpretation of the endangered species act so that it no longer protects habitat.
This is open for public comment until the end of May 19th. Please comment and make your voice heard.
Wildlife need their habitat. If the ESA redefines harm so that habitat is no longer protected, the implications for wildlife would be catastrophic.

People will talk about how adorable and cute tinies are all day but I never seem to hear about how cute giants are... It's just so cute to me. I've been thinking about sleepy giants whose yawns could inhale a cow. They have trouble finding a good spot to rest, they eventually lay down in a valley, propped up by a hill, their breathing creating a gentle breeze.... They'll cuddle their tiny and smile a smile wider than them and you can see all the little imperfections in their face, the tiny nuances in their expression so much bigger and more noticeable, and when a giant makes a soft noise of contentment that gently rumbles the earth, a calm and happy sigh that blows a few leaves off the nearby tree ... It's the cutest shit ever to me, like all their cuteness makes such an impact. idk why people sleep on how adorable giants are
