I'm going to give you a rundown about why you shouldn't worry too much so you don't have to read the article (which a lot of people don't, no shame) I'm all for safety and warning people of dangerous possible events, but this has only been reported 25 times over the past 6 years, according to the article. That's 25 out of millions. I agree that sales should be restricted against minors like it is in the US. This case happened to a minor in Canada. This was due to the battery overheating. That's not an e-vapor thing itself, it's an e-battery thing. I definitely agree that there should be industry standards, and I encourage that, but please keep in mind, like the quote in the article stated, that this type of problem happens in other appliances, as well. The difference here is that the disposable batteries that you use in your game boy or graphic calculator are mass produced by battery companies and have been for decades, whereas vape batteries are rechargable and last years as opposed to months and are still being improved as we figure out what needs to be fixed. This type of thing can be present in all lithium-battery products. Its not that e-cigs are dangerous, it's that the products aren't as regulated as other products that have had decades of bug fixes. This is a very rare problem, so don't worry too much.
