I actually have so much love for dogs
My juice fasting journey. Day 1/15
Here I am back to square one after a failed attempt at a juice fast right before the holidays. Technically I started two days ago but today will be the first day that I actually go all in. So why am I giving it another go? My health is declining, nothing too bad on paper but I just feel lazy and drained all the time, my body aches, and it's a task to get up the stairs at the office. Also, I have a wedding coming up in exactly 15 days (attending as a guest) the idea of spending a wad of cash on a dress I'll probably wear once and looking my best in it, is great motivation.
So here's my notes for today:
The Juice!
9:45 A.M. - Green Juice
10:00 A.M. - Coffee with light creamer and sugar
12:50 P.M. - Blue Fruit Juice
4:20 P.M. - Coffee Black
5:00 P.M. - Green Juice
6:00 P.M. - Blue Fruit Juice
8:00 P.M. - Green Juice
I also drank approximately 8 cups of water throughout the day total.
Day one thoughts
Surprisingly... I'm not tired! And hoping it stays that way... but I know the lethargy is going to come for me eventually, I was eating like crap before starting the fast.
I noticed that I probably should have had my second green juice sooner in the evening, tomorrow I will try to drink the third juice by 3 pm. Also, its probably a good idea to space out my last two juices more than an hour apart, I admit the hunger was getting to me around dinner time so I'm chugging water and sipping juice. I was getting hungry around lunch time but drinking the fruit juice really helped, I think my biggest challenge will be dinner since I'm STILL hungry after drinking two juices an hour apart and refilling my water bottle.
The 4:20 coffee I had (haha) was making me jittery, I'm planning on cutting down on caffeine slowly, starting with no sugar and creamer, and then less coffee progressively.
After getting home from work and watching cartoons on the floor with my roommates while they ate bbq pork buns, I did a little speed walking/light jogging for about 30 minutes to get my mind off food.

And I love keeping my mind off of food The cravings have settled in! I prepared for this by getting rid of all fast and packaged food in my house but I’m very inventive.
Time to drink some juice, write, and watch Hulu.
Blueberry, orange, and carrot juice.
This is insanely sweet. I love it!
Blueberries are great for healthy skin, nails, hair, and blood vessels. This juice was about 3/5 blueberries, 1/5 oranges, and 1/5 carrots.

I am a big believer in inversions for everyBODY. Legit y’all, this time last year I had barely practiced any inversions beyond #shoulderstand- it’s kind of crazy to think about the amount of growth that’s possible by simply reinforcing your practice with core and shoulder strengthening poses.
