@sacrificeofyouth
but cooking is an essential life skill and even as an adult no matter what excuse you have or shit explanation about classism and shit (like if poor people in every country were the same when most of the time poor and working class people cook and don't order in all the time or buy frozen meals because that IS more expensive for us) if there's nothing stopping you from using a knife correctly you need to learn how to cook. it doesn't need to be some gourmet shit start with rice and boiling an egg. food needs to be edible enough that you enjoy eating it and that's it. if boiling an egg is the hardest thing to follow ask someone to cook it in front of you. use youtube. something. jesus christ
"i have adhd its hard for me" yah well you still need to learn sorry it will be harder though. like washing yourself and wiping your ass is also important and if you are able to do those then you can cook. like ratatouille said anyone can cook
i realize this does not apply in every situation/to every piece of media and that piracy will always be cheapest option and that i am very biased here because i already collect physical medias but i think with streaming becoming the way it is and with the news of netflix cracking down on password sharing and all the streaming services raising their prices and adding commercials etc we should all go back to just buying dvds of our favorite shows and movies, especially if they’re more than like 5 or 10 years old. if you know where to look you can get a physical copy of nearly whatever you want for cheap and then you own it forever and can legally share it with your friends. not to mention that dvds often have cool packaging and extras like deleted scenes and blooper reels and whatnot that aren’t on netflix hulu whatever. plus collecting is fun
this applies to cds as well btw. i’ve seen more discussion about this lately because of that tiktok that’s blown up recently and other people have made more and better articulated posts about it but 1. there are so many releases that are not available on streaming services or will randomly get removed from streaming and then what are you supposed to do? how will you listen to it then? 2. again with the cool packaging! those little lyric booklets and inserts are so full of art that you just don’t get from spotify 3. you own what you buy forever. that is yours and this is (usually. unless you like shoplifted or something. which idc about i’m not a snitch) totally legal and 4. burning mixtapes for your friends is fucking fun
even though I knew where it came from, seeing the original image still feels like peeking at a crack in reality
