This summer tasted like cherries covered in lime juice and learning how to cope with no longer being a teenager. It was sour but I kept going back for more. I wanted to peel it all open and dig out the pits so I could savor the taste on my tongue. I licked the juice from my fingers and went back for more. This summer I didn’t starve myself of opportunity out of fear, I took and I gave. This summer tasted good.
