SAY IT LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK!
I’m not seeing anyone talk about the fact that Marvel just cast Alaqua Cox - a deaf Native American actress - to play Echo in the Hawkeye series, so...
(you can totally reblog this)
can no longer listen to criticisms of how dumb people are in horror movies because it’s been half a year of a pandemic and we still can’t convince people to do something as basic as putting a piece of cloth over their face.
I love her so much
Like to charge, reblog to cast…
Won’t God do it.
Trump getting coronavirus, losing the election, getting dragged out the WH in cuffs along with his sons, his daughter, and all his minions, especially Mitch McConnell, and the rest of the swamp he filled would be the beginning of the redemption arc 2020 needs.
Gotta learn to ask the universe for what we deserve and claim that shit.
I believe, I believe, I believe, I believe!!!
This is Adam Erickson, pastor at the Clackamas United Church of Christ in Milwaukee, Oregon!
Oh finally. A real Christian.
Now THIS man’s read the book
bi person: i headcanon this character as bi
y'all: ok
bi person: cool so [male character] is dating [female character] and they're both bi
y'all: lol shut up hettie these characters aren't straight
bi person:
this is unrealistic, people get pissed after just the first part where you headcanon the character as bi
Wired (Buchanan/ FBI #13)
Sweetheart, I figured that out five minutes after I met you. You’re far superior to normal.
Hero: FBI agent with an accent and sound like he is a missing Hemsworth brother.
Heroine: A cross between Giselle Buchan and Felicity Smoak.
Allison Trent is finishing her education at Boston College while moonlighting as not only a (oddly repeatedly described as curvy…) runway model but also a hacker for sexy FBI agent - Liam Scott. She helps them find a leak in their evidence department - he helps her… with a lot of minor storylines. All while trying not to fool around and then doing that same thing.
This is my second of Julie Garwood’s Buchanan/ FBI stories (look here for my first experience) and I am still… underwhelmed? I think they are alright - there are things that absolutely drive me bonkers (why are all her heroines described as hot heroines? I rant about that here.) On top of her being hot hacker - she makes a lot of resolutions to stand up to him… and literally never does. There are also FAR too many minor storylines and villains in this story. Like… Pick one? Her villainous family was enough. But Garwood also added in a sketchy geek dude and his high crime murderous friend.
It is a lot. And honestly, by the end, I was just… tired… I would say that most of the bedroom scenes are fade to black and that this book can definitely be read solo but I would say that there are triggers for both abuse and family manipulation. As well as your everyday sexism.
Side Rant: (*spoiler ahead*) in a contemporary romance novel - how come everyone only dates for like three weeks before getting married?!
i straight up hated this book for a lot of the same reasons. i’ve yet to read her historicals but i feel like maybe her style would go over better in a historical instead of a contemporary (then again maybe not)
I tried some of those too… I just don’t think I like Garwood’s writing style/ books…
which ones did you read?
but yeah lets be honest, its definitely a style problem. no point trying to take bad writing and apply it to another subgenre
i might try one of her historicals (to torture myself i guess?) but i’ll have some Jennifer Crusie ebooks on standby as a pallet cleanser
I would have to look it up - there are so many authors I enjoy - I try not to waste my time with ones I don’t.

Just a real-life girl living in a fictional world.
