Sims 2 UI Changelog [28 July 2024 - Lovestruck Update]

+ Updated for the Lovestruck EP patch and the follow-up emergency patches. Now requires the latest UI Cheats Extension v1.42.1.

+ Added recolor for the new Cupid's Corner panel and its phone icon 💘

+ Updated CAS and Game Options files to include the new UI additions (Romantic Boundaries, Copy button, and Safe for Streaming UI).

+ Updated several Live Mode and Build Mode UIs. Simology panel and entering build/buy mode in Penthouses should work fine.

+ Updated thumbnails during picker menu to have better visibility between selected and non-selected thumbnails.

+ Added recolors for the new eyelash category and rounded pool & fountain thumbnails.

With TMEX's new searchable menu mods, there are now more files that conflict with his mods which I've separated and placed in the Additional Files folder for you to remove and avoid conflicts. If you don't use his mod(s), you can keep the Standalone files and only remove the TMEX_Compatible files to avoid duplicates ^^ If you want to use his mods, remove the conflicting Standalone files. You can find out more in the README text found in the folder.

Updated Lashes

All my lashes will now appear in the new eyelash category in CAS! You can find them within the makeup section, and they will no longer require you to remove piercings or moles to apply them.

The latest base game update also lets you choose which outfits to apply the lashes to, finally!

Unfortunately, the textures will still conflict with rings and glasses, as the texture areas were not changed with the new update.

New Conflict Icons

The thumbnails now include icons showing which lashes conflict with what. This makes it easier to identify which lashes to apply if you also want your Sim to wear glasses or rings.

Deleting Old Lashes

You can download all the new versions below, but feel free to delete all my old lashes that are in the wrong categories. You don't HAVE to delete them, as they still work like before, but I recommend it to reduce clutter in CAS.

Updating Your Sims

Your existing Sims won’t automatically start wearing the new lashes, so you will need to reapply them.

I also highly recommend the EA eyelash remover by Kijiko for a less blocky look!  You can get it here

Laptop Mode

The lashes will not work well with laptop mode turned on in graphics settings. If you use a lower-end laptop, you can still try to turn it off, but you may experience performance issues.

build mode recolors (aka, i will not be taking preview photos for this)

sometime while i was away, s4s updated and added the ability to recolor build mode items (columns, roof trims, friezes, etc.). so far i've recolored a few columns, spandrels, roof trims, stairs, and friezes, but i'm going to keep updating the folder as i add more and more items. everything's separated by pack and since they're simple recolors, you will need to have the corresponding pack for the recolor to work! please let me know if you have any issues, or if you have any requests for items i haven't done yet 💌

I think it must be the house itself, so I've uploaded a game items-only version on the gallery (aka without any custom items from the gallery) and an empty version as well. For now, let me know if that works!

NPC Fasion

NPC Fashion - is a configuration file for MC Command Center. It won't work without MCCC.

Compitable with the latest game patch.

If you are tired of ridiculously dressed NPCs, or you want your newly generated NPCs are being dressed at least not like weirdos and you are using MCCC, than this file is the solution.

This file contains:

1530 unique female outfits total;

1771 unique male outfits total;

341 unique female (elders) outfits total;

653 unique male (elders) outfits total;

133 unique female (child) outfits total;

245 unique male (child) outfits total;

263 unique outfits for infants.

How to install:

simply drop the file from the archive in MCCC folder and confirm replacement if needed.

In game:

Click on a Computer >> [MC Command Center] >> [MC Dresser] >> [Only Use Saved Outfits] :

**You must choose "Enabled" for MC Dresser to clean sims with outfits listed in the CFG file.

Click on a Computer >> [MC Command Center] >> [MC Population] >> [Population Settings] >> [Run Dresser] :

**You must choose "Enabled" for new sims to be generated with clean outfits.

Smaller Eyes + Eye Geom Fix

EDIT: Added Modified Lid Version, Choose Only One Horse Ver

So two people have made edits to the horse eyes so far, minervamagicka's geom fix which rotate the eyes away from their forwards-facing position, and vriheddiyev's head & body reshaper, which changes the size of the eyes but also changes the shape of the head & body.

The first only rotates the eyes within the socket while the second makes some radical changes to the head shape that isn't quite to my taste, so I figured I'd make an intermediary -- a head mesh edit that includes both the same geom fix AND smaller eyes.

This will conflict with other basemesh head edits, so it's not compatible with the two heads linked above. As the two other creators have stated, this will eventually be obsolete when ts4morphmaker updates and we can turn adjustments these into sliders :)

DEFAULT MAXIS MATCH HORSE TEXTURE;

after i saw @minervamagicka 's amazing horse coat replacement i wanted to try my hand at maxis match-ifying it a little bit, kind of a middle ground between ea's style and a realistic horse coat. credits to them as i tweaked their files + textures, i just added and changes some details to make it more maxis match :)

this will replace the adult + elder coat texture of all horse in the game. i added a tiny bit of muscle definition and low weight details which will be visible through the weight/muscle definition sliders as well.

Hello guys! I've been drawing a lot recently and I learned this technique of using cold undertones plus warm ones to paint shadows, so I thought it would be nice to make it to sims! You can use the color sliders with it to make them darker or change it's color. There are black/monotone versions as well ❤💙🖤

PUT A LID ON IT concrete ceiling and floor by amoebae

A couple of years ago I made a ceiling replacer to banish those cold, stark white ceilings from the game. Now we can paint ceilings using floor textures I decided to turn those replacer textures into floors and ceilings so you can choose between them on the fly.

I've split them into two packages. For some reason floor textures get larger and more blurry when applied to the ceiling, so to preserve the same look as my original ceiling replacer I had to create a separate package with different diffuse uv values. You can of course use either version on both ceiling and floor, whichever you think looks best. They're labelled in the catalogue so you know which I think should be used where. They show up in the Masonry section of flooring.

It contains the same 8 concrete colours as my original replacer, plus one more. Shown in this shot on both ceiling and floor is 'warm concrete 02'.

You can continue to use one of my ceiling replacers alongside this, so all ceilings in every lot you visit will use it. You can only have one replacer active at a time. Head over to the original post to choose between them and see the swatches.
