teruhashi appreciation post 😦😦‼️‼️ homegirl does not deserve the hate she gets. nah and the main reasons are always “SHES CONCEITED” and “SHE ANNOYS SAIKI” when both are easily refuted…
1. she glows golden because of her sheer pretty without makeup and every person she has ever met EXCEPT for one (saiki) has literally gasped when seeing her face. she sparkles and literally brightens up peoples day by existing (which isn’t even me repping her, it’s just a fact even saiki acknowledges). do you want her to be like “uwu i’m so ugly”????
besides, saiki’s the same, let’s not forget. he literally started shit talking when he got pick pocketed and was like “OMG HOW DARE U I AM A GOD ILL MAKE YOU REGRET THIS.” they’re both so arrogant in the exact same way and it’s justified in BOTH cases, yet teruhashi is the ONLY ONE who gets hated on. i’m convinced the only reason people hate teruhashi is cause they’re jealous. or internally misogynistic. you can’t hate on teru for this and then talk abt how sexy saiki is for being the same thing. they’re literally similar in so many aspects.
ALSO!! CH 13 IN THE MANGA IS LITERALLY PROOF SHE’S NOT CONCEITED, BUT CONFIDENT. there’s a DIFFERENCE.
vocab lesson! conceited means EXCESSIVELY PROUD, in an INACCURATE, WRONG MANNER. confident means RIGHTFULLY PROUD OF ONE’S SELF AND ABILITIES, which she is. she’s pretty on a NATIONAL scale, probably even WORLDWIDE. just say you hate girls who know they’re pretty. don’t blame us for you being petty.
and she’s not even mean when people come up to her thinking they have a chance.
yeah, the thought process behind it is rude (i mean, her thought process develops notably by the end of the series anyways), but her actions are still kinder than the majority could ever be had they her powers, and that’s what matters. even in saiki’s mind.
2. saiki has never given her real hints to suggest he wants her to back off. the only reason us audience knows is because we’re THE AUDIENCE. we know he avoids them, but nobody in the series does! they don’t know he teleports. they just think he leaves school asap. plus, whenever saiki’s had negative thoughts towards teruhashi, he never actually VOICES it. if he had, we would definitely be seeing a reaction. see, imagine you’re teruhashi:
your crush only says neutral/positive things to you, you guys hang out a BUNCH (being attached to the hip at that trip with their friends), you’ve met his entire family (and they approve), and he’s given off some hella suggestive signs. *ahem.* the time he suddenly held your hand and led you into a very small photo booth. the time you guys went on a camel together (just the two of you). the time you guys canoed alone. the time he asked you out to a shrine. AND, most shockingly but importantly, the time he, your extremely super anti social crush, who is super super quiet and literally runs from attention, catches you from fainting and carries you bridal style, bringing you to the nurse while staring daggers at your SUPER rabid fan club while also REPRIMANDING THEM (and omi gosh, what?!,!:? you decided not to give him his chocolates cause you wanted to spare him from going against the whole world, but he’s doing it anyways) because “how could you not notice how tired she was?” implying HE still noticed after all. huh 😦 huh 😦 where are the signs 😦 how is she supposed to know to back off 😦 we love saiki, but don’t shit on her for not doing smth she’s never been suggested to do 😦 you don’t ghost a friend because you think they hate you when they’ve never suggested any remote dislike. cmon.
