Bro, they're not going to listen. I feel like the DIVISION resurGENce wasn't even made by Ubisoft. (That's right, I'm the one who objected to using only "he" as the pronoun for DIV1 players in JTF comms 01. I believe players shouldn't be locked into a single gender "he".)

JTF comms 01 "That Agent" locks The Division 1 player's gender to a single pronoun "he". Ubisoft needs to replace this pronoun with 'they'.

Ubisoft's customer service system says it will reply within 48 hours, but my first 2 messages got none. So I don't trust the official website.

When a game company focuses solely on cashing in and disregards how players feel, those players will take their money elsewhere.

Its side mission bug has been unfixed since launch... and JTF comms 01 "That Agent" locks The Division 1 player's gender to a single pronoun "he". That's why, even though I play it, I'm unwilling to discuss it positively. I see tDresurGENce as a fanwork, while TD1&2 are canon.

Besides that, it also has drawbacks such as poor graphics, few facial customization options, and far fewer free outfits compared to TD1&2. Also, the positions of the doors inside and outside the post office are incorrect.

Of course, I only found that out after playing it. So I think it's not that no one plays it, but rather that after playing, people just don't want to talk about it (not ALL players, though).

Why TDResurgence doesn't deserve to be called official:

Right now, the comment section under Ubisoft's official Twitter account for The Division Resurgence is full of complaints. You could say it's pretty interesting.

For example, the recent update that fixed bugs required players to redownload the entire game (including on PC), and the side mission "Outpost Annihilation" has been uncompletable since launch, a bug that has never been fixed.

I gave the game a shorthand name: Division Gen (divided information), derived from its full English title. Their internal teams clearly don't communicate with each other.

Let me explain why I call the game's story an alternate universe. In the JTF comms 01 "That Agent," when they talk about the feats of The Division 1 agent (the player character), they use the pronoun "he" to refer to that agent, instead of using the neutral "they."

That agent isn't a specific person, it's the player character, whose gender can be male, female, or otherwise. Even if Ubisoft doesn't support other gender identities, shouldn't they at least consider that players can be male or female?

Both Division 1 and 2 clearly have LGBTQIA+ content, for example, the lesbian mafia mentioned by Viper, the official romantic relationship between Faye Lau and Viper, and Dr. Kandel in the Medical wing being a lesbian. They can include diverse sexual orientations, but lock the player's gender to a single type?

So at best, I can only see the DIVISION resurGENce as a fanwork.

Rambles

I'm not a canon denier, so my headcanon mostly just fills gaps left by canon. Of course, canon gets retconned, so I determine canon from the game (except for an outrageous fanwork like the DIVISION resurGENce, it doesn't deserve to be called official) & official sourcebooks, not from baseless conflicting rumors. (AU is AU, that's a separate matter. As long as one knows and does not deny the canon, AU creation is also free. I have many friends who create AUs.)
