You swung your arms as you walked, dragging Karl's with you after he interlaced your fingers. It was a fun motion.

He giggled, swinging it further even when it ruined his camera angle. His pretty face was tucked into his frog sweater, the nice green contrasting the pretty pink dusting over his face. Hushed, he giggled and whispered to you. "Hi."

"Hi." You whispered back, instantly giggling like a child. Trying to vlog a day in the city was fun, even if you ruined his hold on his phone every time you swung your arms back and forth. "Where are we going to next, sunshine?"

Karl giggled again, knocking his shoulder against yours. "Well I thought we could visit this one cat cafe downtown..."

"And then we rob them and become crazy cat dads." You nodded along.

"Y/N!" He laughed, high pitched and sweet. He batted at you with his free hand, booping your nose softly. "No stealing the cats."

You pouted, puffing out your cheeks. "Why notttt!"

Karl stopped for a second, turning towards you completely. With his hands still enveloped in his sweaters he put them on either side of your face. Then, face still completely stoic, and smushed your cheeks together. "Squish." Then he started giggling like a mad man.

You couldn't help yourself. His laughter was infectious. Karl just had this way of making everything... lighter. Easier. Even the heaviest of boulders were like pebbles to kick when he was by your side.

If he asked you to collect him moondust, you'd already be in a rocketship.

Pressing your noses together, content to just be close, it was your everything. The way he talked always caught your ear and the way he walked left you staring. Karl was captivating. He was warm.

He blew softly on your lips, something he's done before. His breath smelt like citrus and berries and the gum he stole from you earlier. Then, softly, he pressed a sweet kiss.

Moments like these, wrapped around one another, you wouldn't trade them for the world. Peppering small, gentle kisses to his jaw, you pulled him in closer.

Karl laughed softly. He was already melting in your touch. Undoubtedly, you were ruining his footage. Selfishly, you didn't care.

Nuzzling into his cheek, you muttered 'squish'.

"C'mon, moonlight," Karl half-heartedly protested. "We still  have to get to to the uh—uh..."

He trailed off as you brushed your hands down his sides. Uselessly, he tried suppressing his giggles but when you kept dragging across his sides, he couldn't stop.

"No—!" He whined, curled into your chest while also pushing your hands away. "I won't—won't give you any more kisses—! Ack–!"

He curls into himself, hands curled around yours. His hood has fallen back over his eyes but Karl's too busy giggling hysterically to notice. Finally, he interlaced your fingers and exhaled triumphantly.

"Ha!"

"Aww man," You light-heartedly complain. Dragging him a bit closer by his hands, you press a kiss to Karl's knuckles. "You're so cute when you giggle."

Karl dragged down his frog hood even more, covering his entire face. You could practically still see the ear splitting grin, the perfectly imperfect one you've fallen in love with, and you laughed.

"You're so mean to me, Y/N." He huffed. Finally remembering his phone Karl pulled it out of his pocket and shook his head at you mockingly. "I can't believe you've done this. It stopped recording, Y/N. I have no content! I'm irrelevant now, I can't show my face in public anymore—"

"Okay, sunshine," You cut him off with a light laugh. "I get your point. We can head to the cats now."

Puffing his cheeks out, Karl stuck his tongue out at you.

With no other option, you stuck your tongue out back.

Giggling, you laced your hands again and started walking.

welcome back to hufflebuddie, where sometimes i leave for a little bit because health issues exist, anyway, how about the marauders as things i do?:

prongs:

-he never learned how to read time on a clock so he always asks what time it is

-is really into finger crocheting

-hates the feeling of hair on the back of his neck so if his hair gets too long he just cuts it himself

-a morning person but in the worst way possible of he wakes up someone else in the morning so he isnt alone (usually sirius, because they dont mind, but sometimes peter if he feels like it, no one wakes a sleeping remus)

-sometimes he'll blink really hard if hes trying to understand something

-always humming something

-swears like a sailor when hes in pain

-loves putting tiny braids in his own hair when hes bored

padfoot:

-has accidentally set their hair on fire multiple times

-says 'fuck gender' everytime a gender crisis arises

-wears a skirt at least three times a month because they're soft and flowy

-paints their nails and then messes them up immediately after because they cant sit still

how is being super straight harmful?:

as a trans person, im going to share my perspective on this.

im a minor who's been reclosted by my parents after being forced out. living in a transphobic and homophobic environment, god does this make chill run down my spine. if i was still in the closet to my friends when this shit came out, i would have locked the closet door forever. this is so so damaging to trans people. even if you're just taking the piss out of it, so many people arent.

theres a difference between having a preference and being transphobic.

plenty of people might have a genitalia preference. but when it comes down to someone who's had bottom surgery, someone who's super straight would not date them. in the words of the guy who invented it "that's not a real woman to me".

how is this harmful to trans people? well, i for one am tired of being the butt of the joke. please find something else to joke about than my gender. but two, so many super straight people are making trans people feel like they arent real and valid just because they're born a different gender than what they identify.

hello all my fuzzy friends!!

i hope 2021 has been treating all of you well and that maybe, JUST MAYBE, its certainly going better than your 2020. as you might have noticed ive been a little m.i.a. and just over all radio silent with hufflebuddie (both on tumblr and instagram, certainly not on twitter, but that's because where else would i ramble about stupid thoughts?)

this year, i decided to hopefully make my account more focused on both golden and marauders era (ive neglected golden era and my deep love for domestic drarry and 8th year drarry, no worries, ideas for content seen later), taking requests and posting on time.

it's nothing NEW per say that i take requests, but posting them at a reasonable time after i get the request? heck no, im horrid at posting.

im hoping to start a schedule of posting once a week (twice if im feeling spicy). maybe on wednesdays? that's the day i get off every week and have time to write and post.

a very jegulus new years:

- it was like, right after christmas

- regulus had spent it with the potters once more and was enjoying the very soft sweater mrs. potter got them (it was in the colours of the nonbinary flag, they cried very hard upon receiving it)

- "hello, my pride and joy" "what are you up to?"

- james didnt think he was THAT obvious, no need to call him out reg

- james was indeed up to something, though

- "hello, favourite sibling" "merlin, theres two of them"

- "hey reg" "not remus too-"

- "hi black- "WHAT DO YOU FOUR WANT"

- the marauders didnt think of this, they hadnt considered regulus catching on

- they all made eye contact, shuffled away, and made a new plan

- see, james had recruited his fellow mates to help him suprise his perfect angel

- regulus had never had a proper chance to go on a date with james "im studying for my O.W.L.'s, don't you have anything better to do, like, be quiet and hand me my herbology textbook?"

- SO IT WAS NO BETTER TIME THAN NOW, OBVIOUSLY

- "reg, ive been thinking-" "that's never a good idea, what about, dear brother?"

- sirius had come up with plan b, get regulus out of the house so james could make his room look like an aesthetic date spot

- siri and reg were now out of the house ("i wanna give remus some books to read while im at quidditch practice, hes clearly bored without my face to stare at and snog" "yeah, sure, okay") and james now had to make his own room look like...a fairytail or summat

- "remus, what does reggie like?" "arent they YOUR significant other?"

- eventually remus coughed up that regulus was a sucker for cottage core ("of course they are, my soft baby" "you're being gross")

-the room was now covered in fairy lights and vines and soft colours and flowers and quilts and snacks and a muggle movie was ready to be played ("what?" "it's called tangled, im sure you two will love it. you kinda remind me of flynn rider..")

- peter had gladly baked plenty of sweets (admitted that he did have a few) and then went off to go play some chess with remus

- sirius returned with regulus and this was the true test

- "oh my god he'll hate it"

-james was panicking but it was too late to go back

- "can i open my eyes now?" "not yet!"

-sirius winked at james and backed out, closing the door

- "hi, love" "jamie, hi, hello, all that, can i open my eyes?" "yes, baby, go ahead"

-regulus cried times two electric boogaloo

- "date night" "of course, i- how- nevermind, i love you"

- and honestly, it may if not been christmas or even new years, but this was the best holiday reg had ever had
