“Maybe try in the library, or if you are totally at a loss, shine your pearly whites at some upperclassman. You would be surprised how well that works. Won’t know unless you try.”

“Tell me about it. I would give just about anything for it to be Friday. The time that is spent on Chem would so be more appreciated in some park or vintage shop. Not hating myself, one problem at a time. -- We live in Rosewood, I would say you have to find the right person.”

Wyatt, after spending so much time and energy on Battle of the Bands the week before, had a bit of catching up to do for school. Not much, of course, he was already ahead in most lessons, but he liked to keep his lead so he was reading an online journal of science when he heard the huffing and somewhat familiar voice of Sage. He knew how it felt to make plans and get stood up so he felt for her. “Hey, if you need a study buddy I’m not meeting anyone. Just, you know, so your plans don’t totally go to waste?”

Just as she was ready to call it a night, Sage turned in time to catch Wyatt. They had spoken enough so that she knew he was hardly a psycho and rumor had it he was growing in popularity. If anyone believed idle chatter in the bathrooms. So with a mild softening of her face, she smiled and nodded. “If you don’t mind looking at bio notes that are in chicken scratch, the help would be entirely appreciated..”

“Why even bother to make study plans if you cannot stick to your word?” Sage huffed as she began to pile her books into her bag. “Some people...” It stung mostly because like always, she felt forgotten. And after all the work she had put in, there was no way being skipped for something would be taken lightly.

Linc nodded, taking the comment in for a moment. “Fair, I’ll take it,” he said with a chuckle and another nod. “It was a good surprise, I hope?”

“Of course. Who doesn’t love pandering in the form of exposure? Clearly the talent speaks for it self.” Sage replied, unable to keep her eyes focused on anything. No matter how hard she tried, focusing on anyone after the routine was a joke. “I think your boyfriend nearly tossed the girl beside me into the aisle. Couldn’t ask for more, huh?”

“Count yourself lucky.” Sage replied, giving October a brief look as she waited for a refill. “Watch your cup. I am convinced the glasses here are washed once a month.” Realizing it was uncool to mention such a topic, she shrugged, as if joking.

“I don’t know if I would go that far, as I have yet to hit that level of jaded, but I get what you mean.” She said, turning to face him as she spoke. “Thankfully we have iced tea and cheese sticks to distract ourselves with.”

Believe me, if I had the cash to print that many, I would have done it for the whole town. But for now, I’ll just have to settle for blasting my music at TRAX and hoping it gets through to someone. One day at a time, right? Wow, and your ears didn’t start to bleed? Kudos.

Use the schools printers next time. I hear they leave the back door of the library unlocked for shipments, so you could make your prank known all over the next time you do it. What song? Go with Kidz Bop and watch how fast people show their true colors. I have a strong stomach when it comes to stupid. You have to to survive around here.

Penn grumbled to himself, half wondering why he even bothered sometimes. She was always going to think he was weird, but even if he’d grown a thick skin over the years, there had always been something about her that made him care what she thought of him. “Why don’t you round up all the fancy shampoo? I’ve been called a creep by rich girls enough in my lifetime.” Still, he was surprised by her suggestion. Usually she was a play-it-safe kind of girl. “It’s not… it’s not hard,” he narrowed his eyes at her momentarily, wondering just how many pranks she’d ever orchestrated in her life. Probably not many, if she thought pouring soap into a fountain was going to be difficult. “Are you done? Because I’m doing this as a favour to you. I could just leave you here to have some dick spray you with a supersoaker full of pee.”

“And take away the spotlight from you?” She replied with quickness, but hearing the words she realized it was perfect. What better way to get what was wanted than to make a splash. “I think you are a creep to more than the rich girls, but what they fail to realize, is that you are endearing at times.” Not to get too soft, Sage scooped up her bag and went over exactly how long it would take to get things collected, and the best way to go about it without getting caught. “And do what, spend time looking at your phone?” Sage’s brow, perfectly tweezed and arched thanks to countless video how-to’s, raised while she took a few steps back. “Here is the plan. We meet back here in thirty. You get the fries, and I will gather what we need. This way I know all clothing remains where it was left.” Grinning, she turned before he could protest and darted around the corner.
