Got my boyfriend a late bday gift! One of his favorite characters is Douma, and i managed to find a figure at a decent price.

He is much bigger than i thought he would be and very high quality and HEAVY.

OK YALL let me tell you a thing about this desk.

my mom uses it for storage to excuse the weird clutter. anyway.

this desk is about 60-80 years old, and belong to my moms grandpa. this thing has gone from Maine, to like 4 different cities in Florida.

the only damage on it is a missing handle and a slight water line at the bottom.

yes...this desk survived a HURRICANE FLOOD. my moms house was unfortunately flooded during one of the hurricanes 2 years ago.

everything else got pushed and moved around...except this desk. nothing on it fell, it was still in the spot where we put it. we were all confused, cause a 400lb trunk filled with magazines and cards was tossed around like a toy.

but this thing? didnt budge.

then again it does have a reputation, as in wherever this desk goes, so does grampy. grampy tends to STEAL THINGS and if that happens we just say 'grampy give it back' and it will show up somewhere wild.

but it only happens where this desk is. its currently at my moms house and there is a possibility i may inherit it. and grampy pulls his bullshit all the time there which is hilarious cause he steals socks and wash cloths.

so...not only did it travel to 2 states and survive a flood with very little water damage, its also haunted by grampy.

i miss fandom before ai. there was no risk of accidentally reading an ai generated fic based on stolen material. i don't want to stumple upon ai generated videos my ship kissing and see comments like "this is what ai should be used for". i don't want to see gifs of those ai generated kisses when i browse for fun reactions gifs of them. i don't want ai generated photos and definitely not ai generated art. i don't want ai to be part of my community and i definitely don't want to hear anything about anyone using it because they "can't write" or they "can't draw".
