It's astonishing to me seeing so many people surprised about Justin Bieber's crashouts. Why are people pretending this is out of nowhere?

I was born in 2005, and yet I still remember how much people hated Bieber back then. There were thousands of memes and people online fantasizing about killing him, people who thought he was gay for some reason, women in their 30's wanting to sleep with him when he was a minor, he was groped on stage numerous times...and this never stopped, it just evolved. It turned into redditors making snarky comments about him, raking him over the coals for his marital problems, and that "clocking to you" joke that gets posted every time his name comes up. He was crashing out because he's been harassed by paparazzi since before he could vote, and they just turned it into some sort of way to mock him.

I'm not even a Belieber, but good God I feel bad for him. I'm a 20 year old man, and I can't fathom being handed that much fame and fortune right now, let alone 5 years ago, and on top of all the stress of being a teen idol and the attention he got, good and bad. Go onto r/lewronggeneration and search up Bieber if you wanna know how bad the hate was. I remember when those comics were popular, despite being like 6 or 7 (idk why my parents let me on the internet unsupervised, but they did).

I really don't find the jokes about him that funny. Call me jaded or whatever, but we just saw Liam Payne go down this exact route for years, and spoiler alert, the jokes only stopped when he died, and people tried to pretend like they felt bad.
