Skip the yapping, here's the game:
The game is a very simple yes/no (yea/nay) choose your own adventure type game with dating sim elements as thats what it was originally, with different branches to go down and endings you can reach for each character. It takes roughly 5 minutes ish to complete even through the longest route.
If you want to reset or have reached the end and want to play again, just click the green flag in the corner and it'll take you back to the beginning.
The plotline follows the one in the film, give or take a few bits to accommodate for the self insert. You arrive in Philadelphia as one of the new delegates from New Jersey alongside John Witherspoon. You can betray your orders and sit with Dickinson, or support independent and sit with Adams. It's up to you!
I've included as many characters as I felt was needed (though I'm not against adding a few other bits if Scratch allows me lol), so here are your options! I won't tell you here how to get to each one if you want to go in blind, but I'll add a guide at the bottom of the Scratch description if you really want to have a look.

Some more sprites for the game! It'll be out on the 4th of July on Scratch. I've finished everything now, so no time crunch luckily! Also, ArtFight is starting tomorrow, so I'm gonna get set for that before anything else. I also took the name suggestion from the last post but edited it a bit, thank you so much @theballadofquincy !!

Oh he aaaabsolutely gets irritated by it. He hates it I think. HES JEALOUUUUS!!!
He really dislikes how respected and admired Lee is despite his... general dumbassery, but he's not going to make a fuss of it so is just kind of rude to him. He wants to consider it simply a stroke of luck that he put those words in that order and made something that sounds passable, deep down he knows its not and that Lee truly is INTELLIGENT, he's just... dumb. Even more so when he sees how eloquently written Lee's letters are. Maybe he just finds it easier to get his thoughts down on paper than he does speaking casually. Maybe it's rehearsed. Whatever it is, Adams is really damn jealous of him lol
I think he finds it most irritating that Lee is generally more well-liked than he is, but I think he'd realise it was because of his personality rather than the quality of his words... After all, why should that matter in Congress?! just because lee is nicer than adams is, shouldn't determine anything... Adams is just slightly bitter about it I think. its sorta cute. lee has no idea and will continue writing however he feels like and adams can just kinda stare at him in envy lmao
Helloooo, I'd like to announce that I'm making a 1776 dating sim/visual novel type thing on Scratch!! It is almost (ish) done and will be uploaded on July 4th, next month. I'm on the hunt for a name for this thing, so if you have any ideas, do let me know!
I have most of the dialogue in and am mostly just working on the sprites now. It is quite heavy on my device so it takes a little while to edit it but it should be okay. Given the Scratch Team's nature, I'm not 100% confident that the project won't get taken down, but if thats the case I'll edit it to the best of my abilities. Its been in the works for a little while now so it would suck if it would so... fingers crossed, I guess. Scratch moderation can be very strange so I'll keep you posted.
The characters featured in the image aren't the only ones in the game! Hall, Hancock, Martha, Rutledge, and Wilson will also be included.

Decided to colour a Lee sketch I did while waiting for court... I wanted to draw his green outfit from the comic, but I thought I might as well give him his orange one too. Spent the entire time reading leedams stuff online instead of paying attention, so I'm sure I've won this case 100%
