epiphany i guess

i’m finally starting to understand the difference between being upset or down over a solvable problem and having a legit depressive episode.

ya know? when you reach the point where you’re starting to feel like your drowning and for no apparent reason other than it just being a feeling. your life’s fine, you’ve taken care of everything you need to take care of, yet you’re not ok. you don’t feel ok and you can’t figure out why. that is a depressive episode and i think it’s important to know the difference.

i was fine.

for almost three months, i was ok. i wasn’t feeling terribly anxious, i was feeling down for no apparent reason, i didn’t feel the need to go the therapy, i was ok...until i wasn’t. and i can feel it in my bones, ik i’m not.

so guess who has his first therapy appt in months?? this guy. and that’s ok.

my point is, know your limits, and know the difference between the two. your mental health is important, and it’s ok to not be ok. if you’ve fallen again it’s completely valid. doesn’t make you a disappointment or a burden, it makes you human.
